when in the bible, all you read is how angry he got, how he tested job to almost to death, showed favoritism to certain individuals, tribes. Why do he allow so much go on in the world. Why did he allow tribes to be slaves in the bible, and black americans to go through 300 yrs of slavery. Where was he when my mother was here on earth before she was murdered. Where was he when I was searching for him. I damn near 31 now. I guess it's about time to give up and be like the worldly people. Why do he allow such much evil in the world. Why do he allow ignorant worldly people to have power and money but make us other work hard day to day. I guess he's gonna make it up to us in heaven.

The Bible contains accounts of when he got angry - but why and what was the situation when he got angry? Look at the account of the Flood and Noah's ark.

Ask: Why was he angry and why did he bring the flood?

Ans: Angels had been disobedient and taken human bodies and mated with woman on earth thereby producing Nephalim (I think spelled like that), GIANTS who did only what was bad and their behaviour also induced other humans to do what was bad, to imitate them. The world was filled with bad people who God asked Noah to preach to and to ask them to repent lest they be sweapt away by the Flood.

The Flood was to cleanse the world of the wicked and the bad who refuse to turn over a new leaf and keep making the lives of ordinary humans difficult.

Do you think that was the right decision?

After the Flood, God felt so regretful that he had wrought such destruction that he gave Noah the Rainbow. It was the mark of the covenant/ a promise that he would never again bring such global destruction upon the world.

He cared about Noah and his family. Noah is described as a God fearing man and a humble man and he "did just so" when instructed by God to build the ark, to preach repentence to a horde of humans who made fun of him and ridiculed his belief in the Flood. It took 40years to build the Ark.'Don't you think that is enough time allowance God gave to those wicked humans to come to their senses? He was willing to forgive them if they would just repent and they too would be saved in the Ark with Noah. Is that not love and forgiveness?

Ask: Did God test Job almost to death?

Ans: Look carefully in the account, you will notice that God was not the one who caused the calamities onto Job but Satan who said to God that if all of Job's comforts and belongings and family were taken away from him he would curse God. Basically that since God gave Job so much, he only believed and had faith in God BECOS of those things and that if he encountered difficult circumstances he would turn his back on God. It was a demonstration of Job's strength of faith that Satan wanted to test.

God said to Satan, do what you will with my servant Job but do not take his life.

And how did Job perform? He suffered, he was depressed and he had false friends who tried to convince him that God was punishing him. Did he curse God? No he didn't. He remained faithful; although there were times he asked in despair why God was testing him when in fact it was Satan.

And what happened when the test was over? God gave back to Job 10 times what he had before.

Ask: Does God show favortism to certain tribes/individuals?

Ans: Israel was the chosen nation in the past and he gave them so much but time and again they proved themselves disobedient. Ie. They were enslaved by Egytians, God sent Moses to rescue them, they then complained that they had more physical comforts when they were slaves despite the fact that they did not want for food or water. Mose struck a rock to give them water. Manna rained from the sky daily to provide them sustenance in the wilderness. Do these actions not demonstrate God's qualities clearly? God brought the ten plagues on Egypt when the Pharoh refused to release his people from captivity. Was that not righteous anger and demonstration or his power?

Ask: Why is there so much bad in this world/so much wickedness/where is he in our dark days/why did my grandfather die of cancer/why was my mother murdered/why are so many starving in the world today/why are there wars and famine and drought?

Ans: 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Plus - what has brought this world to pass when the Bible writes clearly in Genesis that Adam and Eve were created as perfect humans who were told to enjoy life in Garden of Eden, become fruitful and fill the earth and to have in subjection all animals?

Disobedience. They CHOSE to disobey God and thus "Sin entered and through sin death to all man". They gave truth to Satan's lie that humans would not obey or love God if they were to encounter difficulties and suffering and that God had no right (despite being the All Mightly Creator) to direct the steps of his creation.

Humans have free will, we are not animals with only instincts to guide us. God has given us the power to choose to follow him. If you put urself in Job's shoes, how much worse was his test to our present tests?

It is also written in the Bible that a great battle broke out in Heaven and Satan and his demons were hurled down to the earth. That the world is lying in the hands of the wicked one (Satan) so do you honestly think that all the evil and badness that is happening around us can be caused by God?

He is loving, just and forgiving.

Would you get angry if someone murdered your children? I bet you would. Men are constantly sinning against God, he has a right to be angry at the creation that does this to him.

He never did anything to Job except reward him. He merely did not stop the devil in order to prove a point.

Why did he show favouritism? The world rejected him, so he chose to work with the few who didn't. Because they had faith, they got the benefits of being closer to God.

Slavery in the Bible is not the same as the US slavery. There were strict rules on how to treat slaves, and they had to be treated fairly and kindly.

I am sorry about your mother but it was not God's fault. Man sinned, and still does. There are consequences to sin, and sometimes, the sinner isn't the only one who pays for his sin. Jesus may forgive our sins, saving us from the punishment, but the consequences are unavoidable.

God never says that good things happen to good people. In fact, he often says the opposit, but he also says that we will be judged for our sins, Jesus took the punishment for the sins of those who believe in him, but truely evil people will not accept him and will recieve the punishment they deserve.

I am so sorry about your mother and that is not much I can only imagine. A huge injustice to you. Huge. You are entitled to be angry, but please don't let it consume you and allow Satan to win your soul. Your mother I pray will be waiting for you. If God is the only way you could see her again, please don't go down the path of anger for too long and lose that opportunity. In our service we had a family who lost their baby girl to a brain tumour. I could hardly believe their faith - I am sure they greatly suffered and were tested to the brink, but they loved their daughter so so much, that they were not going to not see her again and Jesus Christ is the way to be able to do that. The first will be last and the last will be first. You are suffering greatly and want justice as I do and everyone who reads your story do. God will give us all Justice. Even justice in the way that we want is not great enough and if God has the capacity to throw His wrath in the way that you read, be sure He is going to do just that to whoever did this to your mother. The Bible is an account of man's history as well as way to man's redemption. Some of these things are not God's intentions, they are just part of what men did and most were disapproved by God. God wants us to know the truth so we can understand what sin did. It is not light reading. I understand the confusion, when pulling passages out like this, but please don't judge. I have tried to read the Bible without instruction and it made sense to a small degree. Please go to www.blueletterbible.org and use the knowledge of those who have studied scripture all their lives to 'seek' the meaning. I know you will find it, you want answers - I want answers for you and they will be there. I am listening to Vernon J McGee. He's a real character. Please don't give up and I pray that you may have blessings upon blessings and be annointed in His love.

God knew that Job was a righteous man. It was Satan who accused God of showing favoritism to Job and that was why Job loved him. God allowed Satan to torture Job to show that he would love God, even with nothing. I am truly sorry about the death of your mother. There must have been a reason God allowed Satan to do that to you and your family. You may never find the reason here on this earth, but rest assured He will make it known to you when you get to Heaven. Keep the good Faith.
Worldly people have treasure on this earth, but God tells us to store up our treasure in Heaven. Our time will be short on this earth compared to the eternity in Heaven. God Bless and hope to see you there.

Because like you said about Job, he is testing us. How truthful would our faith be to our religion if we were to just give up after the first bump in the road. He wants to find the true believers, not ones that just act the part. He doesn't just give everything to use for nothing because then what is the point of life. Earth is the testing grounds to our belief in God. God has a purpose and a point, but it just matters can we stand the test of time?!?!

it wasnt so much as favouritism it was more that those people accepted him the other didn't. when he created man and woman he gave them free will to choose what is right and what is wrong. some humans can be cruel when they don't have god in thier lives. he was probably waiting for her in heaven with open arms so that she would not have to suffer anymore on this earth. how do you know he was not there all the time, perhapsyou were missing the signs he was sending you. he is still there waiting for you to reach out and respond to him don't wait till you get to heaven try and get a little heaven here on earth. god does love you very much and wants you for his very own. whatever you are doing now stop, close your eyes and put your hands together and talk to him as ifhe is your best freind. god bless you now and forever.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss and I don't blame you for feeling this way. But since you're asking, I'd like to share what I learned.

Many religious teachers lead people to think that God is hardhearted. When tragedy strikes, they say it's God's will. But James 1:13 says "When under trial, let no one say 'I am being tried by God'. For evil things God cannot be tried, nor he himself try anyone."
So God is never the source of wickedness you see. Granted, he allows bad things to happen. But there's a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.
For example, think about a wise and loving father. When his son becomes rebellious and decides to leave home, and pursues a bad way of life, and gets into trouble, is the father the cause of his son's problems? Of course not.

How does God feel about injustices we face?
Psalm 37:28 says "For God is a lover of justice and he will not leave his loyal ones." He cares deeply about what is right and what is wrong. He hates all kinds of injustices.
1 Peter 5:7 says "Throw all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." Which means that he hates to see people suffer.

Genesis 1:26 says that man was made in the image of God. We thus have good qualities because God has good qualities. So if it bothers you to see innocent people suffer, be assured that God feels even more strongly about them.

Now, I am sure you know the story of Adam and Eve. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying God, an important question was raised. Satan questioned God's right to rule. By calling God a liar, who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that God is a bad ruler. (Genesis 3:2-5)
Had God simply destroyed the rebels, and made a fresh start, he wouldn't have answered the question raised regarding his right to rule. Remember, the rebels were not the only ones involved. Millions of angels were watching. How God handled the rebellion would greatly affect all those angels and eventually, all intelligent creation. So what did he do? He has allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. God has allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan's guidance. God knows that all honest-hearted humans and angels will benefit from seeing that Satan and his fellow rebels have failed and that humans cannot govern themselves.

If God were to prevent horrible crimes would he not in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels? Would that not make people think that humans can govern themselves without disastrous results? Why so long, you might ask? Ample time is needed for any ruler to prove his worth. And that's what God has given Satan. Mankind has made advances in science and other fields, but injustice, poverty, crime and war have grown ever worse. Satan's thousands of years of rule is clearly a failure!!!

About the harm that has been done during the long rebellion against God, we should remember that God is Almighty. Therefore, he can and WILL undo all the effects of mankind's suffering. Revelation 21:4 promises, "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Hopefully after reading this, you've found enlightenment. If you want to know more, I really recommend you get in touch with Jehovah's Witnesses in your area. There is seriously no other religion out there that can answer this very important question of yours. I know because I've tried it. Unless people understand this, the teachings of Christianity will basically be meaningless.

Why do you blame God for the evils that men choose to commit? They will answer for their sins. If your mother was murdered, then you should thank God that her murderer will stand before God facing Judgement to answer for his crime. Why do you blame God everytime something bad happens? God gave us the gift of freewill because we're not programmed robots trained on what to say and do. With this freewill comes the responsibility to make the right choices. We are the authors of our own choices, so God holds us accountable. God does not interrupt our freewill no matter how evil the choice is because He gave us rules to follow, if we break them, we have to face him. People will have to answer to God for their sinful choices. You ask where God was when you "were" searching for him, yet you gave up, and now have this "I give up" attitude towards God, as if you gave God a certain time table that he should have met while you "were" looking for him. And how exactly were you "searching" for him? Sitting around waiting impatiently looking at the clock? The moment he sees you asking for forgiveness, with a willingness to apply his word to your life, you'll find him. Do not go to God with an ego. And at 31 years old, you act like your life is over and too late to "find" him. Finding him takes action and faith on your part.

That's not all you read in the Bible, after the flood he caused that killed every living thing on Earth, he realized what he had done, and was up set about it. You read about how much he loves everyone on earth that he gave his only son to be killed for our sins, you read how he turned Mary Magdalines life around. The Bible is full of good things, I know you are going through rough times, but it's during these rough times if we have faith in him, and pray and ask him to guide us, get your bible ans read through the Psalms or Proverbs, they will help. But don't give up, I know it's hard, I'm not even tempting to say I know what you are going through, But, I know Life damn sure is hard anyway. Hold on, in God.
