I haven't had a priveleged life. I don't have much to show for my life so far. I've got a job, a car, but barely a handful of "friends" and no girlfriend to speak of.
There's been times in my life where I've been given an opportunity, but when that arises every horoscope or Tarot card reading or friends' piece of advice has always said 'no, don't take it'.
So I ask, does the world not want me to be happy? I assume I'm at least being saved for that one opportunity that I'm meant for, but should't I at least get a little experience before that comes along?

I want to let it be known that I did look for advice from PEOPLE too. I understand superstitions such as Tarot cards to simply be an extention of my subconscious but that hasn't stopped EVERY drop of advice from EVERY possible source to say "don't do it".

I have a great movie/documentary you must watch. " What the Bleep do we know".
Basically, you do control your paths in life, yes and I know that's probably something your sick of hearing but a change of thought is the key. If you have time rent this movie it really would help.
Also, try not focusing on what you do not have. First, you must feel better about yourself before you go out looking for a girlfriend or materials you need. Improve yourself to how you want to be seen. Lose weight, go back to school, a major change must happen in your life to change your thought process. The life you lead now isn't what you want.
Finally, advice is good.....But in the end when it comes to you, you already know the answers.
Good luck
try the movie, seriously its worth your time.

Don't bother with horoscope or tarot cards (waste of money and time...watch some shows about debunking it) and maybe you will get a yes answer by just doing what you think is the right choice.

I think all of us have this experience. You aren't alone. Sometimes we just have to listen to the little voice inside of us, and not take other people's advice. If you see an opportunity, and you like it, don't listen to the no's. It's a hard thing to do, but eventually you'll get what's coming to you (in a good way, not a threatening way like the expression is usually used for)

Don't base your life decisions on Tarot cards or astrology.
You control your life, not stars, planets or cards.

Call me crazy, but it looks to me like you thrive on negative vibes.
A job and a car are things that most of the world does without.
Looks like you have had more "yes" than you thought.

Man,how can you pity yourself like that? you ain't gonna make it better! i used be like you,i cried because i had no one,no real friends,no bf to love,no family who will treat me like they love me....i was in deep s*hit and hated my life and pity myself all the time...but now i realized that it's better not to have any friends than people who pretend to be your friends and don't really care about you....and it's also better not to have a gf than having a girlfriend who doesn't love you and who will cheat you and dump you occasionally....so don't pity yourself,it will be better with a time and i'ts not a lie...have patience because everyone gets what deserves....if you're not happy now, things will get better soon, trust me.
