I wish everybody would just give it a rest. Yes, I spank my kids. I spank with my hand over their clothes when they refuse to listen to me more than twice and after a warning. If they ever get worse, which only occurred once in my lifetime, I spank them without their clothes (by hand). I only spank with my hand. Think about it! When the cat keeps clawing up your curtains, don't you finally spray a little water on them. Don't they stop after that? At an early age, this developes "respect" which also means "Cause VS. Affect". When they get older, they will hopefully think to themselves "what would happen if I do this?" before they do something.

I'm a mother of a 1 year old and 6 months energetic boy.I love him so much. I tried to give him what he wants but not to the extent that he will be spoiled.we are from the Philippines. As he grew up he becomes uncontrollable. He always slap the people around him so I decided to do something to stop him before everything gets worst. I spank his hand every time he slap me. I tried to let him understand that it's not good to hurt anybody. I want him to grew up good so i wanna trained him how to be a good person in and out.

I did spank one child 3 times in his life (by that I mean a couple swats on the rear end - and before you feel like jumping on me for it - it was circumstantial and the punishment fit and worked and was recommended by a doctor for the thing that was going on - after trying other measures). the other child I never spanked, never had to. they are now grown with children of their own, and are both well adjusted with good self esteem and great parents themselves.
I was spanked a lot - even if it was my little brother or big sister who did the crime - and I managed to come out fine as well.

I do not have kids and if I had them I won't spank them, it is kind of cruel, you should talk, have a conversation with your kids even if they're just little brats! About why they were behaving bad and so on. And give them a ''decent'' punishment if they didn't listen to you.

i was spanked as a child .. and I turned out pretty good...
sometimes .. some kids just need spankings !

society as gone toooooo far with it in public.. u kno some kids need it to set them straight.. just a tap on the bottom.... but now.. if you just look at ur kid in public.. you'll get arrested ! prob even so if you took them to the bathroom..
i'm pretty close to my dad now ..
even tho he use to through his slippers at me if i ran from him when i was little... and if i hide under the bed.. he would get me out with a belt !! .. LOL

Spanking wont do anything good, it just hurt your kids and they will learn notihng from it, I think you should talk to your kids, explain why you think they are wrong, let them tell you why they think they are right and discuss it and come up with a good solution

well when i was a kid..my dad used to spank me..but i dont remember why..then after that i criead and cried under our dinner table..
i hide and cried..i felt so ..so afraid of him...
but even so..when i did something bad..then my moms gonna scold..im still gonna cry event thoguht they dont hit me or anything..but because im just afraid of them...
well for the most part spanking is a good think for th least part...cause..in for them to learn..and yeas i did..if they are pretty mature..
cause i think my parents had raised me in a goodway!!

spank? if i had kids and they did somthing wrong and they knew better then i would beat that ***. But if they didnt know then i would talk to them first.

Depends what you mean by spank
I have smacked them on the bum but I find it's the fact they've been smacked rather than any pain they feel
So just to make it perfectly clear, I do not hit them hard so there's no need to ring child services just yet!
