outter space, but without stars or any light. completely nothing infinity. what exactly happened in the void that randomly (Extremely random) caused life? u realize how random it was that everything appeared, if it happened in this universe by mere chance, u must believe there are billions more universes out there and other life forms too? do you believe in aliens? Haha ok im done

The question you must ponder, if ponder questions like this you do, is what causes randomness? I mean, flip a coin 100 times. How many heads? About 50 right? But say you flipped it and got the last 10 flips were tails, what are the odds of a heads on the next flip? Still 50:50, still even. Why? I know we say that it is a random event, independent, but why?
I teach statistics. When I do I have the students roll three dice and add the numbers on top: 3 to 18. They form a nice Bell curve. We all finish the exercise looking at it and feeling a warm fuzzy glow that it is how it should be. Most of the rolls cluster around 10 and 11. But why? Sure there are more combinations to make those numbers and that is just how things work, but...
I am a nuclear scientist. I also have had two direct experiences with The Ineffable Light. No, I do not want anyone else's religion. Just wanted you to know that science and religion can be two wings on the same bird.
BTW, there is a lot of space inside atoms and between atoms, too. I call it the vacuum continuum. Play with that for awhile.
Peace.

The current idea for how life formed is the big bang occurred then abiogenesis (a hypothesis).
I'm not so sure about there being other universes...but that is a possibility.
Aliens may exist...if life occurred naturally here it is mathematically probable that it would occur elsewhere in the universe. But, I don't think we have any little green men in UFOs visiting Earth.

Hi,
Just the thought is so fascinating!
Given that the size of this universe and may be many more is beyond comprehension...its highly UNPROBABLE that we are ALONE in this universe.
In fact- if I am recollecting correctly- Stephen Hawking- world renowned astronomer and thinker has said in one of his books- that in WORST CASE SCENARIO- ther are atleast 100,000 planets and civilasations like us in this UNIVERSE/S
Also- I watched a wonderful movie sometime back which suggested that all the wonders of the old age- right from Stone Henge to the Pyramids have been made by ALIENS who were treated as GODs as they came from the SKY!!
How utterly fascinating!
Cheers:~~::

Someone asked me how many planets out of all the ones you know of have life on them. I said 1of 8. So for every star that has 9 planets there is a 1 in 9 chance that there is life on those planets.
I know that's silly but there must be life out there. After all, it's here.

And in all that space with all those stars and all those planets you think there are NOT aliens?
How completely self centered and egotistical does one have to be to believe that a God made all of that and then only put anyone on one of them? OK Now I'M done.

Dont stretch your imagination too far. You'll break your neck.
A simple example. Just off the Monitor. No Net, no sites, no channels, no Yahoo Answers. Just a blank dark screen.
Thats the infinity.
The aliens will be the bugs, nits, fleas that litter the table/seats.

Try wrapping your mind around String Theory, or M-Theory anyway. Predictions of mulitple universes, 11 spatial dimensions. Crazy stuff.
I would think there would have to be countless civilizations considering the vastness of just this universe.

from nothing comes things and then everything...
from unfinite comes finite..
from zero comes one, two and millions..
look the earth.. the empty space is much more larger that the 'filled' space...
look at your room... the emptiness inside it which make it useful..
the emptiness in the glass is what make the glass useful..
break things into smaller parts and till the smallest parts.. you'll find the great void..
all things including us are made by atoms.. break atoms.. you'll find the great void..
break sentences.. you'll find words..
break words... you'll find letters..
break letters...you'll find emptiness..
