I used to smoke pot every day, every hour.I smoked so much that I would have to smoke two joints just to get high.I smoked for about 5 years, day after day.I've been clean now for about 10 years,I never went through any withdrawals or shakes.Sure I wanted to smoke again, but after I quit,I would run into people that smoked and they reaked really bad,and I would think, that's how I smelt. If people don't smoke and they smell it on the ones who do,I know that's what I smelt like. Not only that you feel better about yourself.Yes there is people who go to rehab for it,but if you can quit on your own like I did, then you don't need rehab.
Congratulations on quitting and Good Luck.

Good for you, girl! If you've been through three weeks already, I think you're pretty much past the stage where withdrawal symptoms are experienced. That's great. And for some of the previous repliers, quitting pot is plenty to brag about. I'm sure she feels good about herself. Don't start again! Good luck!

I'm glad that you are taking your life back. Not only will you save yourself a boatload of cash, but you will be a better person and friend to the people around you.
You should get some support. I would talk to your local health provider about support programs. (Hey, we could ALL do with a little help now and then).
If you can't find a place, here is a reference to MA:

Your rehab will depend on how much you smoked and for how long. Also, it depends on what other substance that you have abused...ie, alcohol, pills, meth, etc. As you can imagine the more that you abuse the more difficult the rehab. Contact Dr. Drew and get his well informed ideas on what to expect. Good Luck

hard part is almost over, now you have to deal with your buds being mad at you because they can't trust you in your circle now, and they could count on you to get them a buzz, and they will try their best to convince you there is nothing wrong with you smokin with them again, they will think you are a nark after a while, so stick to it and you will have less problems with your health and have money to do other things more fun than sitting around going wow i am buzzed and pass me the chips and beer or pop.
