Why are most Americans stupid?

You're under an illusion. It was deliberately created by Bush.

To many people Israelis are terrorists. To many people Americans are terrorists. You don't find many Muslims among that lot - especially the Israelis!

The only reason you believe that most terrorists are Muslims is because you've been TOLD to by your 'free' press - the press that reports in a way that the government approves of! How 'free' is that?

Did your press tell you that the IRA were terrorists? Or did your press describe them as 'freedom fighters' of some sort? Because that's exactly what those Muslims you call 'terrorists' believe themselves to be - freedom fighters! Fighting for freedom from Israel's occupation and constant attacks, fighting for freedom from Bush's corruption and - in the case of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan - freedom from Bush's invasion.

I'm glad that you realise that not ALL Muslims are 'terrorists'!

It doesn't have a buttload to do with them being Muslim in particular. It's the geographical area. There's been a lot of strife around that area for a LONG time. Think back to the Crusades. If I were in your situation regarding your Muslim friends, I wouldn't give a damn what religion they were. I might be a tad uncomfortable if I were to find out they only recently moved here from that area. Other than that there's no reaosn to worry about them becoming terrorists.
Yeah, their holy books do preach peaceful behavior. But then so has most every other religion in history but look at all the wars that've been carried out in various Gods' names. Just because the book says 'no killing' doesn't mean a group of chuevanists won't kill anyway for the sake of the very same book.

Truth be known ... the statement that most terrorists are Muslims is not necessarily accurate. I don't know of any valid figures on the subject.

There are plenty of terrorists around the globe who are not Muslims. And, unfortunately, the definition of what classifies someone as a "terrorist" seems to be rather subjective in the eyes of the United States.

The U.S. has (and continues to) relied heavily on supporting "terrorists" over the years as a means of influencing the politics of other countries ... particularly in the Middle East and South America.

Osama Bin Laden wasn't trained by the U.S. to be a conventional fighter against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan ... as such would be suicide. Rather, he was trained to be a terrorist ... but it was "ok" then because he was our terrorist.

Also, individuals in the United States have provided monetary support for terrorists in Northern Ireland ... but we don't even acknowledge that to be a problem.

not all are. lack of education in most cases and they serve a man not the true god. all terrorists are not muslims. and i blame our united states we tell to much, show all our affairs on tv,and then expect not to be targeted? we also get involved in most cases in other countrys affairs when we should take care of our own. violence never justifies nothing.look at 911. perfect example why we got our towers blown up. we mingled in others affairs. i believe this could have been avoided. so now all we can do is what we know best fight or we will be their slaves. personally, i dont know why we waited so long to attack back? innocent people died!!! fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, friends, firefighters, just to name a few. so we had to do something. america sometimes acts stupid!!!!!!! look how many more lifes were lost trying to get the bad guy? still we dont have him. how many more have to die? these men, woman are ,our blood. love of are country. they are our heros. but what a heavy price to pay? it dont matter what race caused this. right is right and wrong will always be wrong.i AGREE some muslims took severe punishment that they were not involved in. thats sad.however,we are so leary now who can we trust? fact is maybe the bible they have are against violence but when we were attacked where was their bible? the only solution for mankinds problems is a much higher authority. soon we all will see. thanks. ps keep your true friends whatever their race not all are bad.

Don't say mostly Moslims are terrorists,Say most Arabs and Afghan are terrorists. They don't see on which religion they are. They just want to fight. And then blame their religion for their cruelty.
They even used to fight before the advent of Islam.Sometimes with other territories and sometimes among their own selves. They can not live without fighting.
Same about Afghjanis. They all keep on fighting. And when they find no foe they start fight among themselves. They never got true teachings of Islam. They are like wild people living in a jungle. They are ignorant of every thing.
So,never think that Moslims are terrorists. If you think over this problem you will really get that yes, only Arabs and Afghanis are terrorists.
You will find no terrorist of Iran,Pakistan,Morrocco,Syria,Jordan,Sodan or any other Moslim country.

i don't know why that might be - maybe because the west as a collective seems so hostile that it's percieved as the only course of action? plus that's where the west invades so it's where people are forced to use drastic measures.

as an interesting counterexample, though, i heard somewhere that one of the earliest suicide bombings in the whole israel-palestine thing was apparently a twentysomething, british, wealthy, well-educated, and CHRISTIAN, woman - breaking pretty much every stereotype in one go

=edit=

"walter" seems to have hit the nail on the head - they're just the most recognisable subset of terrorists (unfortunately for other, non-violent, Muslims)

really , you are who is open mind , addition to lady words there is very famous proverb say { terrorism has no religion } Islam is so far of what happen . when u see terrorists in T.V or anywhere the first thing u have to do is completely forgetting Muslims are involved even if they say we are Muslims because its not by mouth .
NOTICE : try to know the difference between terrorism and resistance of occupation or invasion.

Most terrorist are not anything!!They are liars. They are mercenaries. They are soldiers of fortune they do not represent any belief. Most of the suicide bombers do what they do for money.Their families are promised money and security.I'd love to hear a follow up story on these suicide bombers family fortune ;I bet they didn't get anything. What a waste!!They could have been the very person who may bring a peaceful solution to all of this. But then are attracted to the fortune!!Pray for them!!They need protection from the real enemy like everyone else. It's good versus evil.

The terrorists are part of a group known as Muslim Extremists. This means that they take the Muslim religion and blow it way out of proportion. They believe they have to kill everyone who is not Muslim, and people who don't share their exact beliefs. They have the twisted belief that this is what "Allah" wants.
