Good question. I think they usually kill those who convert from the Muslim religion, or they at least curse them and threaten them with death.

Just like in Christianity when a child is born into the family they are expected to be Christian. As for a Muslim to convert, yes it is looked down upon but isnt it the same for a Christian. As for one of the statements already said, it is untrue that the parents are asked of to kill their child if they convert. The Islamic religion is a peace loving one, the idea that it commands the parents to kill their child is just stupid. the person acaykath I bet has never read let alone read the Quran.

It's looked down upon in many muslim areas and may not be a good idea to openly deconvert in some Muslim cultures (just like it may not be a good idea to be open about deconverting from christianity in some areas). But if someone doesn't believe a religion is true it is impossible for them to still be a part of that religion...at most they would be pretending.

Anyone can change his religion whenever he wants, either by believing in something else or by officially converting (baptism, etc).

With God all things are possible. God accepts all regardless of birth. It probably won't be easy and depending where you live it could be dangerous but follow your heart and listen to Gods leading. You are in my prayers. God bless.
