It tough to be around people with MOOD SWINGS. It's like living with a time bomb that could go off at any moment. If you know the REASON for the mood swings, then you would be better prepared for them. Most of the time, YOU ARE NOT THE REASON. (But if you are, make sure you KNOW what you can do to prevent setting off the person.)
Most of the time, it's a condition that you are not responsible for, so don't take the mood swings personally. If the person isn't getting treatment, you can "suggest" to them that maybe something could be wrong and they should have it checked out.
Don't let it bother you. Just be a good friend to those who have a problem. If you don't have to be around them, then I would suggest to go elsewhere!

i agree with you, i had a boyfriend for 8 years who at the time i didnt know but he ruled my life with his ups and downs he wasnt violent, we never went anywhere, by the end of every day we ended up so tired all i wanted to do was go to bed and thats were i ended up in bed for over a year, then he wouldnt come on holiday twice i went on my own,and the last time was this june abroad, and some how after 8 years something snapped, i d had enough, i cant beleive that someone or myself allowd all those years to pass, just waiting for his moods to change, so if there is anybody out there being ruled by mood changes, get out, they are no different to phisical viiolence they drag you down in every way.

Everyone changes moods throughout a day..some several moods so you should get use to it. Not everyone can be as moody so if it's getting to the point that they really annoy you, I'd say don't bother going around them.

Depends, if they don't offend me or releasing their anger on me, then it's ok.
Like if one minute they get depress, and next minute they get very happy, but they don't bother me, then it's ok.
I mean, they are not feeling well, they have illness, it's not their fault, we cannot put them in an island, they need to be around people, cuz we are all human, we live in groups.
As long as, they don't offend anyone, I think is fine.

I can tend to be the same way. People with mood swings certainly make for a dynamic environment which can be unsettling, especially for more reserved or calm people.

well people think and even i someitmes think that i am bipolar but this is not the truth because:::::
when some one does soemthing that annoys me i just sit and hope that soon they will stop.. someitmes they do and i calm down but other times, when they dotn stop after the first five times, i fiercly tell them to stop... maybe i am bipolar who knows?
they never know its bothering me till its to late. somtimes tehy are subconcious to what they are doing. i once yelled at someone cause they kept sighing.... sigh after sigh after sigh..probly about 4-5 times before i lost it.
