I had to change out from Effexor to Cymbalta. I wound up in a rubber room for a couple of days because we tried a direct change (I got a new DR for this type problem). Do the taper off, if you have problems get back to DR quick. Sometimes when a person is young when the for this type med arises, the need for use reduces over time and the body can function normally w/o meds of any kind. Also what kind of DR is your yours, a generalist or specialist? Mine is an osteopath who also is a psychitrist, He runs a pain clinic, I have recurring pain and that is a great contributor to my depression. He is trying to resolve the pain problems. I am lucky, he really takes an interest in what is going on with his patients and spends a few minutes of each session just exploring where you are at mentally.

I've tapered off before, it's no big deal...you'll notice if you MISS a few days but even then it's just "strange" feelings nothing really bad...you'll be fine.
