I pay my groomer an extra $10 to "Furminate" my dogs.
My large breed has very long silky hair, and the Furminator really makes the everyday grooming so much easier.

It gets out all the hair that was even thinking about shedding. It lasts several months!
I had one dog Furminated in February, and he is still easier to groom and still barely sheds....

An undercoat rake works just as well and is cheaper.....only 9 dollars compared to nearly 24 dollars for the furminator

I will tell you in a few days.. I just ordered one...But as far as I can tell, yep they work well..They take out only the undercoat and leave the top hairs alone.. so coat stays really nice while getting rid of the loose undercoat..

sure do!! but you can also use a clipper balde turned backwards(with you thumb in the attachment hole, hope this makes sense) and gently "rake" your dogs coat w this , but just be carefull not to litterally "rake" your dogs skin just apply enough pressure to gently pull out the under coat that causes so much shedding

These things are great. I got one off QVC about a year ago-My dogs love it-It removes tons and tons of loose/dead fur. I think you'll be pleased.
