My boyfriend and I are not ready for marraige but we are deeply in love with each other and we would like to include regular love-makings as part and parcel of ou romance. However, we know that condoms are not 100% effective against unwanted pregnancies. We know about contraceptive pills. Which are the more effectvie pills and besides condoms and pills, what are the other birth control methods?

You sound like a very smart / mature young woman, but clearly not ready to have a baby -- so you should really have a serious talk with your boyfriend about the fact that your need for "love-making" could end up seriously impacting the rest of your life and that of the little baby you could bring into the world -- that is just a fcat and as a mature adult, and as two people that want to build a life together you should be smart about this.

Best thing is to wait until you are married -- you are not going to miss out on anything that will kill you, you will minimize the risk for something that could devastate your future, and you would make your union in marriage even more significant / amazing.

But if you feel you just must do it and will go ahead and risk getting pregnant, then (seriously) tell him to wear two condoms and consider using a sponge or something else for you. The pill impacts your body chemistry (essentially it releases a hormone to make your body think you are pregnant -- so your body will think you are pregnant for years and that can make it difficult to conceive when you are ready to have a family...)

Again, this is a serious issue even though most people treat it casually. You can enjoy so much closeness and other sexual experiences without risking the most amazing thing you can experience -- being parents -- which would turn into the worst thing you could experience.....

Just use a condom. The percentages are high enough, making it a reliable form of birth control. Don't load drugs and hormones into your system, as they may lead to other problems.

Of course, abstinence is 100% effective against pregnancy. But since you are in a one-partner relationship, you don't need the heavy load of birth control pills. Use the condom.

Have fun!

The most effective form of birth contol thats 100 % affective is to not have sex at all.....Sorry just telling u the truth(u probably already know that though)Usually as long as u use two kinds of birth control it should decrease the risk of pregnancy(like the pill and condom)..but as long as u have sex..u will always have the risk of pregnancy!!!cause nothing is 100% when your sexually active...

ive tried many different pills and also tried the patch. the best thing i have been on is ortho tricylen LO. it has low hormones so it doesn't make you crazy and it doesn't make your appetite fly through the roof. The regular ortho tricylen made me gain so much weight because i was hungry ALL the time. the patch is the worst thing i have tried. I doesn't stay on all the time and the places you have to put it are very visible when you are in a bathing suit. but like i said i am currently on the ortho LO and it has been fabulous!!

Deeply in love! Love is about physical attraction. You must be on fire.
None of the controceptive is 100%, other then those you mention you may try IUD. I have it for more then 10 years no problems encounter, but I have no idea if doctor will intall for unwed. You can check it out.

Since I don't know you but as a safer I think I should give you a sincere answer even you are not willing to accept it. If your boyfriend is not ready for marriage, I don't see why you give up your body and have sex with him. Please stop this sexual relationship immediately, you will regret if your boyfriend dump you for another girl. Bear in mind, we are Asian. No one can accept second hand good.

they also have IUD's, norplant, they offer shots that you can get once a month, they also have patches, over the counter they have foams and spermacides, you just have to shop around for the right thing. to increase protection i would use condoms also.
