When US soldier began being stationed in Japan and then Korea, they became aware of martial arts, so many whites took up karate, tao kwon do, jiu jitsu, Akido,ect instead of continuing in boxing as they discovered was worthless in real world fighting. My grandfather was a professional boxer but gave it up when he discovered Jiu Jitsu in Japan and then muay thai kickboxing. If he was alive now he would probably be going to all the UFC events

This left many boxing gyms closing down as no one was signing up and white owners of the gyms decided to let anyone of any race to take up boxing in there gyms.

When southern blacks began to move north, it was a great boom for those gyms as the communities around the gyms became more black, kids started to pile in to learn. That is why most of early boxers up to 90s were all trained by old white guys and there sons and grandsons and still continues today.

Boxing is alot diffrent that I remember growing up, it was mostly blacks with afew whites and latinos, now its split between blacks, latinos with whites slowly growing again, mostly whites from the cities and European immigrants(heavily russians and irish)and four white boxers are in the top ten.

Whites today dominate in kick boxing, and mix martial arts, such as the UFC and pride fights and they usualy win fights in the mostly mexican Felon Fights.

Now if only someone else could dominate in sumo wrestling besides Japanese ;)

It's all about social status;
Black people are generally of the working class and therefore have less money for leisure purposes, this leads to them taking part in a sport that doesnt cost a great deal to be heavily involved in and also doesnt require expensive facilities or equipment, such as boxing.
Also, being from a working class background generally leads to the mentality that a person must take care of themselves and do what they can to raise their own social status. This mentality leads the individual taking part in solo sports as opposed to team games, once again boxing being the obvious choice.
White people are generally from a middle class background and have more money for leisure, they also do not tend to develop the 'look after number one' mentality adn take part in team sports.

This is of course generally speaking, and there are always exceptions to the case.
There have also been many great white boxers in the past, Rocky marciano is undefeated in 49 proffesional fights (without a draw) he is the only boxer with such a successful record.
There are also a number of successful white boxers in other weight classes such as Joe Calzaghe who is undefeated in 41 proffesional fights in the super0middleweight division.

GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT!!! 3 OUT OF 4 CHAMPIONS ARE WHITE, THE ONLY BLACK ONE (RAHMAN) WAS GIVEN TO HIM. PAY ATTENTION!!! Wladimire Klitschko, Nicolay Valuev, Serguei Lyakhovich, and Rahman is fighting Maskiev August 12th. Maskiev brutally KOed Rahman before... then ALL of the champions will not ONLY be white, but from East Europe. Now what smart guy?

in the days when there were white heavyweight champs, black men weren't able to box as freely as they are now. the few blacks that did box hadn't been training long. now that blacks aren't openly discriminated against in the sports world they can box. whites are afraid to box and feel threatened at the large number of superb black athletes.

I think, because blacks have bodies that are more suited to the heavy weight division.

properly, i could take attitude over Cena ... i in my opinion desire attitude can help TNA out. of direction, i'm hoping TNA would not renew him and use the ex-WWE wrestlers to help them get rankings for the long-term, even after the ex-WWE'ers are released from TNA.
