I have a Jack Russell named Bandit and a weird mix(I think he is part dachshund) named Snickers.  My uncle named Bandit because he was his dog originally.  I named Snickers because I've always wanted to name a dog that, and the funny thing is he actually looks like a Snickers bar :o) Here are some suggestions.  Not all of them are my favorites, but I don't know what kind of name you're looking for or that you actually like, so I'm just giving you a wide variety of female pet names... Bella, Maggie, Lilly/Lily, Charlotte, Riley, Emma, Abby(my name!), Lucy, Violet, Rose, Summer, Sarah, Gracie, Ginger, Zoey, Marley, Macy, Lola, Piper, Lulu, Pepper, Cherry, Sugar, Reese, Cookie, Lollipop(Lolli as a nickname?), Annie, Sissy, Sassy, Holly, Carol, Daisy, Molly, Sadie, Roxy, Muffin, Penny, Adella, Winn Dixie, Dixie, Stella, Mia, Callie, Lady, Ruby, Sasha, Angel, Hershey, Snickers, Skittles, Peppermint, Marshmallow, Twix, Blossom, Annabelle, Coconut, Licorice, Tootsie, Twizzler, Apollo, Aphrodite, Asta, Benji, Satin, Bobby, Diamond, Christmas, Dollar, Nickel, Edison, Einstein, Duchess, Friday, Raspberry, Blueberry, Kindle, Willow, Lavender. Mars, Venus, Saturn, Mercury, Jupiter, Lyric, Pearl, Latin, Spain, Brooke, Fifi, Fuzz, Candace, Lassie, Josie, Ivana, Martha, Samantha, Simone, Tulip, Lucinda Ah...I can go on and on.  Do you have a favorite author?  For example, Christopher Pike is my favorite author.  I could name the dog Pike if it was a boy or Christy for a female.  What about a favorite store?  You could name her Hollister.  Favorite food?  Color? Magazine? Television series?  With this technique, you can come up with a very cute or just plain awesome name that is original yet not tacky.  I hope I helped you choose a name for your pet.  Good luck with your new dog! P.S. I love dachshunds ;)

Well I have three doxie's and I got two of the names off the web. I put in baby names and hit search. They had a long list of names. Depends on the color.
My one female is a red dapple with a blue eye. I named her this. Tarevachine Zoei B. Boop. Tarevachine is native american and means beautiful eyes.
My male is a black and tan silver dapple, and his name is this
Vihoe-Native american- Chief
Silver-because of coloring
Ducan-Celtic-Dark skinned warrior

The girl who played in the new Pochahontis(sp) movie. I can't remember her name, but I remember the meaning which is Golden Eagle
My friend has a male doxie who is named Honani. Which is native american and means badger hunter, which is what dachshunds do, hunt badgers

Hope this helps some, but you can do that your self, with the web site. Have a nice night. Let us know, male or female and what you named it.

Friend in Scotland calls her two Yorkies "Little Miss Muffin" and "Little Lord Fauntleroy" and it really suits them! Calling out to them in the park it's a case of Muffin for her and T Roy for him but at home they get their full name and are so cute because they act just like their names!

I think these are sweet names that befit her Yorkies to a T
