Not eating "for like a week" is probably one of the worst ways to try to lose weight! It is just plain UNHEALTHY!
Even skipping breakfast can prevent weight loss! When you do not eat, your body thinks it is starving (and, it is), and will do whatever it takes to survive---in this case, it will HOLD ON TO FAT!
Eating a balanced diet containing all the food groups and increasing your exercise level will promote healthy weight loss.
Wanting to lose just 5 pounds sounds a bit like "vanity" rather than a real need to lose weight. GO FOR A WALK each day for a week and eat SENSIBLY! Sometimes eating 5-6 smaller meals a day works better than eating 3 "regular" meals, and will also promote weight loss.

i seriously dont recommend you to do this. that time, i didnt eat for 6 days and i only lose 2kg, even though i still workout everyday. the bad thing is, after six days, i have this constant craving for food and i keep on eating even though i am very full. as a result, i gain another 3kg in just 4 days. so not worth it.
what i recommend is that drink more water to make you feel full and just eat as per normal. but you must substitute fattening food with more healthier alternatives and cut down on your food intake. also, do various cardio and strenthening exercises and vary the intensity everytime u work out. you will definitely see more satisfying and permanent results this way. good luck!

You wont lose that way. Your body will freak out and go into starvation mode, in turn hoarding all the fat in your body. 1200 cals a day is the least you can eat and get around that. Just do that and exercise 30 min. a day and youll lose 3-4 lbs.

You may like to watch your diet. No fast food, fatty food, no sugary drinks.
Exercise at least 5 times a week for 30 minutes each.
if you want to be safe, see a nutritionist/ sports doctor.

Not eating will cause your body to feed off itself(called going catabalic)! Very dangerous!
Yes, you WILL start to lose weight, but it will be muscle that you lose...NOT fat! It takes muscle to burn the fat and without it, you will have fat and saggy skin and could possibly never be in shape again no matter what you do.
