Take her to a local shelter and have her scanned for a micro-chip. Also take a snap shot of her, and give your info to the shelter incase the owner calls or goes in looking for her. Post a "found" paper at local places, and maybe post a found ad at www.craigslist.com, in the proper city where you found her. Also call local vets and let them know your info incase the owner calls into them looking for a lead to their dog. Good luck in finding her "parents." It's nice you want to find her family, and not just dump her off, or keep her without an effort!

You can take her to the humane society to get her scanned for a chip. Hopefully since she is such a rare breed of dog, her owners made the effort to chip her...if she doesn't have a chip, make sure to put up posters, and maybe some free ads in the local paper or local magazine...
Good luck in finding the owner!

Put an ad in the newspaper for a "Found" dog but only give a little description, that way, when someone calls and says its their dog you can ask them to describe it to you a little to make sure the aren't traying to steal it or something.
You can put up "found dog" posters around your neighborhood with your phone number on them...
One of your best bets would be to call local vets offices and ask them if one of their patients fits that dog's description...then they will be able to tell you who owns it!
Good luck finding the owner!

Put her description on the lost pet websites, then in the local newspaper. You could also take a picture of her and post it around the area where you found her.

run an add in your local paper of the puppy or doggy that you found. i have done this a few times. and the ppl. that call you . study the doggys habits and then ask the person to describe some of the habits that the doggy has and if they tell you something correct, then that is their doggy. good luck. you must have a big heart for taking care of the dog.

call animal control/animal shelters/humane society. The dogs owner might have contacted them looking for her and they would have their contact info, if not they could probably scan the dog to see if it had a microchip with the owners info. Also newspapers usually run "Found" ads for free.

Go to a vet to see if it's microchipped. If it is, all the info on it should be up and you'll be able to find the owner. Post ads/flyers around your neighborhood and be on the look out for ads/flyers on a missing dog.

Everything isn't on the internet. Check with the local animal shelters, ASPCA, and veterinarians. If she's really rare, she's likely to be known or even have an id chip implant.

Call a vetinarian clinic and ask them if they could check for a computer chip inplant. If it's a valuable dog, the owners may have had that done. Other wise, put it on a leash, and walk it, and see where it goes, dogs pretty much know where they live, he may walk you to his house. Good luck.

Take it to a vet/humane society/aspca -- somewhere that has a microchip reader, to see if the dog is chipped; if that doesn't work, run a lost & found ad in your local paper (my local papers will run these free of charge).
