I hasten to add that the Bible also says the following are wrong: eating shellfish (Deut 14:9-10), having tattoos (Lev 19:28), wearing blended cloth (Deut 22:11), not having a fence around your roof (Deut 22:8), women having authority over men (1 Cor 11:3, 1 Tim 2:11-15 - men having long hair and women having short hair (1 Cor 5-7), women wearing pearls or braiding their hair (1 Tim 2:9), and the list of "don'ts" can continue for an awfully long time. The Bible condones slavery (Ecc 2:7 and Eph 6:5) and genocide (1 Sam 15) as well, just to throw in a couple of things that are apparently divinely sanctioned. The point I make here is that the Bible is not some mystical rulebook of do's and don'ts that fell out of heaven to be slavishly adhered to in every time, culture, or situation. The Bible says many things that were specific for a time or a culture or a people; in the Bible's case, the ancient Hebrew people of several millennia ago. For all these verses I've just listed, people have since read the passages with an open mind, looking back to original texts, trying to understand the culture the people lived in at the time the passages were written. We now have women in pulpits, wear poly-cotton blends, see many women with short hair (uncovered in church, no less) and men with long hair, have abolished slavery, and so on. To try and create some divine mandate against homosexuality demands that you must just as uncompromisingly adhere to all the rest of the written law and condemn the rest of the above-listed acts.

Be brave Just once,
Good name.
You took some scriptures out of the Bible to show that there was definite rejection of being gay.
Look at 1 Corinthians 6:9.
Do you think that there are any Christians that have done any one of those things? Is it that we are perfect all around, is that what makes us Christian?
I would say not. It is crucial in the Christian life to believe God. Faith. To trust in what God says over the circumstance. If you are sick- with His stripes we were healed. If you're tired, as thy day so shall thy strength be.
So it is not perfection in sinlessness that is the focus, it is 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
And this connects it all:
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;

No I don't think Gay is bad. Personally it scares me how many ignorant people there are in this world. I am not calling you ignorant by the way so please do not think I am. What I am saying is ~ No One and I mean NO ONE knows what is really bad and what isn't as far as sexuality goes. It doesn't matter who anyone believes in or what their religion is, it all comes down to the same thing.....God, Allah, The Goddess or whatever word is used has never personally shown his or her face to the world and said what is right or wrong. People can quote from books, prophets, etc all they want as it doesn't change the fact that NO ONE truly knows.
So after my nice little rant, In my opinion, my heart says that no it's not wrong as everyone, EVERYONE is equally important and such deserves to be treated with respect no matter what their sexuality, race, religion, sex or for that matter rather they are human or something else.
Thanks for allowing my rant. I am tired of seeing so much hatred that I guess your question allowed me to speak my mind. Have a great day/night!!
Joyous Blessings and Peace!!

Homosexuality is wrong , but our responsibility is to teach people about the gospel 1st. As long as God still loves them so should we. I'm not saying we should not speak the truth, but we should also tell them about the loving God who they are disobeying. Also, my sins may be different, but I have no right to say that they are any more acceptable. I've not found anything in the bible that says my sins are less sinful that someone else's.

The act of homosexual sex is a sin. The disordered temptation that some have toward the opposite sex is not a sin if they don't act on it. But, God forgives all who sincerely repent and ask for His forgiveness (Catholics must also confess to a priest in the Sacrament of Reconciliation).

It is wrong in religon context. But people made choices. Whether their choices are good or bad, it's theirs entirely. All we can do is just to advise them. Homosexuality is bad. It's wrong and cruel. It rooted from temptations. Temptations are downright bad. God gives us directions. It's our choice to follow it, given a brain to think. Sometimes, people overlooked the meaning of life. (42). Lol.

No. I really could care less what an ancient book written by ignorant bronze aged tribesmen says on the subject.

How can loving someone be bad? We are all human, I would rather my children love man and woman, then go to war and kill each other! What do you think GOD really wants in his children?? Don't just go by what others have taught you, go by what you really know inside. Can you not think for your selves? The GOD that I know and love, loves me for who I am, not for what he wants me to be! GOD loves me Unconditionally! GOD has given me free will, and trusts me to lead my life as I choose. I am not gay, but that is my choice, not yours.
