I'd say go with the streaks first & if you like how the red looks in your hair the next time you dye it go all over. Red also looks good with blonde streaks so if you go for the all over look you could do a reverse foil & foil your natural hair with shampoo(to prevent the red from bleeding into the foils) or just foil it alone & have blonde streaks on top of your red hair.
Just a lil tip red fades REAL fast, try to wash it in cool water & use the shampoos & conditioners for red hair

If your a "male hottie" I'd highly suggest you just go with the streaks. If your hair is short and you go for the all over red, it will look pretty crazy after just 2 weeks. You'll have newgrowth all around the sides and back of your head. On short hair, all over color is very high maintenance! You'd have to be ready to dye every couple weeks.
Personal preference, I'd say if you're naturally blonde, go for some even blonder streaks. Leave the red streaks to the girls!

I am a hairdresser, so this is a no brainer for me.
If you have blonde hair, DO NOT DO IT!!!!! It will end up orange or pink depending on what the base in the red is. For example:
A copper red will have an orange base in it, resulting in the base color showing up on light/very porous hair.
A burgandy red has a blue base in it, resulting in a pink/purple color.
Red is the hardest color to process and the quickest color to fade. Ask anyone who has colored their hair red before, and they will tell you how quickly they ruined all of their bath towels. It bleeds out of your hair almost immediately. If you still want to go red, then you need to apply a medium shade to your hair first. Something that is darker than your color now, but lighter than the desired color. It will act as a base for the red to grab on to and it will have a better longevity.
The bottom line is, red is a very tricky color to work with. It can make your skin color look funny, it can give you horrible results, and it requires ALOT of maintenance. Coloring your hair is not a bad thing, they have formulated the color so well anymore, it is not harmful if done properly.
In my opinion you should check with a professional, ask to see swatches, & make sure they know what they are talking about.
Also, make sure they give you an honest opinion, not just try to make the sale. Alot of hairdressers are bad about this. They will tell you anything to get your money. Just check it out, you don't want to make a quick decision and be stuck walking around looking like Ronald MacDonald, do you?

Leave it the way it is! Blonde hair is more beautiful. And plus, dyeing your hair is so bad for it. Stay natural!

Short blond hair...if it is like shoulder length short I would put six red chunky streak just on the top layer...if it is really short just spike the tips red...that would rock.

Depends on the look you are going for. I personally would prefer red streaks, but it really depends on the way you dress and etc.

If you can not make that decision then you are not ready to dye your hair. Remember if you don't like it you can dye it again in like a month or something
