Be nice to your sister. I had a mean older sister, and it sucked. She will annoy you less if you are her friend. If not, she will snoop and bother you even more.

First of all, Why would you ever put your hands on your sister? Who and what gives you the right? She is not your child to discipline. It's your parents job and responsibility to do it. Now for your question, don't act like a two year old and break her things, regardless of what she does to yours. What have our parents got to say about your sisters behavior? Have you talked to them? If not you need to. Your sister is feeling somewhat left out. At eight years old she is very curious to what her big sister is doing and admiring your things. How much time to you spend with your sister doing things that she likes to do and is capable of doing with ease? Hopefully you are spending time with her not just locking yourself in your room texting your friends and using your computer. Your right, at 14 you do need some private time but your sister needs her big sister in her life. She needs to feel like she is still important to you and you like being with her. My best advice is to spend time with her and talk to your parents about her behavior. Above all else NEVER put your hands on her.

Ask her politely, not forcefully like I assume you have been doing. I know it will be hard, but give it a shot. If that doesn't work, make it so she can't use your computer. PWs, disconnect the internet (assuming she isn't computer savy), block any sites she might be going to. Even if she knows you did it, it will keep her away

Hook a padlock to the outside of the door, and take the key. That's what I did. Or, put a password on your computer. I did that too. Nobody but me can get on it.

Can't you lock your door? A lock usually works pretty well in keeping people out.
