Every now and again we will give her a taste...not too often because I heard somewhere that cats can become lactose intolerant when they grow older. Not sure if this is true but just to be safe we only give her a little.

Only a little bit occasionally, because she is full-grown and I know that she does not have problems with it. Not all cats are lactose intolerant and/or allergic to cows' milk (there is a difference between intolerance and allergy), just many. People drink cows' milk and we are not cows either (but then, many people have problems with it and don't realize it).

No. Most cats are lactose intolerant. Milk gives many cats diarrhea and can cause vomiting.

NO!

Cats have a tendancy to be Lactose Intolerant which may cause diarrhea. I don't think it would be a good idea.

I don't give my cats milk, but on occasion I buy some specially made product like Healthy Essentials milk treat; Whiskas also made a product, but I haven't seen it lately. It is an "all natural dairy-based treat made with lactose-free dairy mild." Hm... But they seem to like it. This is the first time I bought one that is white cheddar flavor-haven't given it to them yet. We'll see how it goes over.

there is a long standing tradition in my family the pet gets what we get within reason. My dog and cats have always eaten spaghetti and sauces and graveys with a little meat, but not a lot and always mixed in with their food. they have all lived years longer than they were expected to, my dog lived to be 15 and my cat (siamese) 19. just remember just like us they need moderation, a gallon is quite a bit too much

When she was a kitten, yes. To soften her food. But just a little. But now she gets diarrhea from store bought milk.

Cats are just fine with water and cat food, and the occasional spoon full of tuna =]

If you are referring to cow's milk then no that is not a good idea. Cats cannot digest that properly so therefore they are likely to get G.I upset from it. However if someone starts selling cat milk then sure that would be ok.
