IN AGOURA HILLS, Calif., day laborers have already started to ask for more get ready people that argument that prices will go up if we make them leave . hello if they are legal or guest workers they will want more and nothing has passed yet and they are already asking for more so there goes that argument out the window .
The black Lexus stopped just yards from a large, shady oak tree, and eight copper-skinned Guatemalan men rushed over.
For a minute, the woman in the car and the men haggled feverishly before the Lexus drove off — without any day laborers to help with her gardening.
The woman had offered to pay $10 an hour, not realizing what she had stumbled into: the only day labor site in the nation that has set a $15-an-hour minimum wage
At a few dozen other sites across the country, day laborers have set minimums, usually $8 or $10. Around 10:30 a.m., Marie Caupisch drove up in a Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo Diesel, offering to hire one or two men for $10 an hour —

and a free lunch. But she left empty-handed when the workers insisted on $15.
“Fifteen dollars an hour, I can’t afford it,” Ms. Caupisch said. “They’re not going to get work at that price.”

If they don't, they better learn how to speak the damn language. Tired of supporting someine who expects everything when they can't follow the rules in another country.

And they say they aren't taking advantage of us I wish I was making $15.00 an hour again. I can't find a dispatching job in the Inland Empire area of Los Angeles cause I don't speak Spanish. When were these day laborers going to pay income taxes on the money they make under the table? Even when I was making $16.35 an hour it was really about $14 something after taxes. Maybe I should get a tan and got to Home Depot for day laborer work. Oh no that won't work I have blue eyes and speak only English. Damn foiled again.

Sister Godzilla, I agree with you totally!
Most illegal immigrants do NOT want to become legal because they know they are far better off economically if left the way they are. They do NOT want to have to pay taxes and deductions off of their pay. Most of them do NOT intend on staying in the USA forever and they are NOT interested in becoming legal US citizens - that is a myth perpetuated by bleeding heart illegal supporters, only. Sure, there are the odd exceptions to this where an illegal has, since coming over the border, come into a romantic relationship with a US citizen, and now their mind is changed and they want to somehow become legal, but the vast majority of the illegal immigrants do NOT want citizenship and all the expenses that come with it. Their plan is to earn enough US$ to provide for themselves a comfy lifestyle back home in their native country, eventually. They do NOT plan to stay forever in the USA.

OF COURSE they will demand to be paid citizen's wages if they become legal. And then the NEXT batch of illegals will come to the USA to work for cheap labor. Why can't people understand this??
This is an INVASION. Illegals will keep coming as long as selfish idiot employers hire them. Put the employers in prison and take away all the profits they made from hiring illegals.

Colorado spends about $7,000 per student per year in public schools, Lamm said, citing data from the Colorado Department of Education. There are an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 children of illegal immigrants in schools throughout the state. That’s $210 million to $280 million spent annually on the children of illegals, Lamm calculates.
