Why did all the many various giant weird sea creatures and swimming dinosaurs like the Plesiosaur also vanish and why did all the strange giant flying prehistoric reptiles such as pteranodon, dimorphodon, rhamphorhynchus, quetzalcoatlus, pterosaurs also vanish?
How could they all have had a mass extinction so soon if only given 6000 years, does this also mean all these various dinosaurs only roamed the earth about 2000 years? How does that make any sense if you believe this?

How deep was the flood? Do you know?

They have have found the Ark. maybe. It's 13,000 high. That would make the flood pretty deep. no?

Wow! I love this question! I've always been interested in paleontology because dinosaurs don't fit with the Bible, right? Yah, they do. Actually, someone has done some study and caculations for the Arc, and it would fit all the animals in the numbers that God instructed including all our dinosaur buddies. Not only that, but also counted in food supplies and waste on the ship. There is a book about it all (not that it's well know or common, our evolution scientist buddies wouldn't want that to refute their ideas). And Noah's flood was that deep. The ship came to rest on the top of a mountain when the land started to dry. Also, there are various places in the Old Testament that refer to big creatures or monsters. And not all the aquadic dinosaurs are dead. There is a fish on display at the Thermopolis(WY) Dinosaur muesum that was believed to have gone extict with the rest thousands of years ago that was recently found alive by fishermen in the Southern Hemisphere.
You're right it doesn't make sense if you try to believe just what scientists tell you. Science actually works with the Bible

The extinction of dinosaurs happened long before the flood mentioned in the Bible. It came about because a large meteorite hit the earth and caused a cooling of the earth to winter. There is a theory that the dinosaurs relatives are today's bird. This is really intresting and you should read up on it.

good question, I have heard that most dinosaurs were the size of sheep and some were taken on the Ark. Some of the larger ones food supply vanished and others have simply slowly died off. One such sea creature was found a decade or so ago and really baffled the scientific community.

The average life expectancy for any species of animalon Earth is about 1.3 million years. Mass extinctions have been occurring almost since life itself appeared. As for Noah's flood, that is simply a made up story. Dinosaurs were long extinct before humans came around.

Well, if you ask some evangelical Christians, Noah had dinosaurs on his ark, though they were either eggs or babies. No, seriously... I had an old family friend tell me that just 4 weeks ago. She also thinks the earth is no older than 6000 years (one year for each day God was making the earth).

It doesn't make sense because it's a load of crap.

I believe it states the Ark rested on top of Mt. Ararat, elevation 16,945 ft. That's a lot of water, a lot of rain and temperature changes. I don't claim to know all the answers.

Why can't science come up with a fossil record that "proves" evolution beyond a doubt? It's only been about 160yrs since Darwin's first postulation and it's still not conclusive...

I think I'M the one with an open mind- waiting for proof.

This question has been answered on this forum before. And a gentleman called Mainworry gave a very good answer to this question. Search for the question "How does the Dinosaur Era fit in with the Bible?"

Mainworry's answer was not picked as best but it should have been. Mainworry's is the 3rd answer.

I do not believe that the world is 6000 years old. If you really trace back to the "first man" Adam he dated back to around 40 thousand years ago. Neanderthals (sp?) existed before man and dinosaurs did to. this is to long to explain here. I was watching a christian debate show that has science scholars and biblical scholars and they both agreed on the times of when the evidence was found.

it was very deep as it covered all but a few mountian tops. and that was just the last one from noahs time . there were earlier ones as found by sattilite mapping of seas and river beds.
as for the dinasours they are mentioned in the torah (mabey) as giant beasts. most of there surving skeitions can be found in caves were they washed into caves or buried in mud. given no notice of a cataclysim coming as was some of the heroes older than noah to save as much as posibleto replenish the earth with.

The biblical time line is just silly. It is obviously wrong. There was no such thing as a world flood!
The bibles failure to understand history is proof that there is no real god.

So ... there is no such thing as heaven to go to ... for anyone.
All you have is this life.
Use it well.
