Okay, before making such a comment of a Book you know NOTHING about READ THE ENTIRE CHAPTER and find out what that CLEANSING is for!!!!!
This is why so many people are confused.
Stay tuned and I will edit this message to prove your negligence
Verses 39 and 40 say that if the plague is spread to the walls.... they should TEAR out the stones !!!!!!!! That sounds pretty good to me!
And the stones (verse 40) should be cast into an unclean place OUTSIDE THE CITY!!!!!!
The house gets scraped, they pour off the dust and if the plage is spread in the house the house is to be destroyed!!(45 again talks about )
And anyone going in the house is unclean!
If the house is pronounced CLEAN, then they do the sacrifice. And if you read any of the Bible you would know that blood is a sign of washing away sin. The cleansing is for God and for man's obedience.
The blood ODESN'T disinfect the house...

The leprosy in a house is unaccountable to us, as well as the leprosy in a garment; but now sin, where that reigns in a house, is a plague there, as it is in a heart. Masters of families should be aware, and afraid of the first appearance of sin in their families, and put it away, whatever it is. If the leprosy is got into the house, the infected part must be taken out. If it remain in the house, the whole must be pulled down. The owner had better be without a dwelling, than live in one that was infected. The leprosy of sin ruins families and churches. Thus sin is so interwoven with the human body, that it must be taken down by death. Lev 14:34 tells that God put the leprosy in the house-and God's ways and thoughts are not ours. He uses the spirit of the time and age to get his point across to people.

Actually, you are demonstrating your ignorance of the purpose of the Bible. This passage from the book of Leviticus is a spiritual picture of sin and the gracious provision God has made by sending his dear son Jesus to be the fulfillment of all of the Old Testament sacrifices that where pointing to the final sacrifice that He would make on our behalf.
You weren't around back then. You don't know if God would supernaturally disinfect a house because of the people's obedience to his command. Your science without religion is "lame" as Mr Einstein would say.

It took over 300 years to write the bible. Not all of it is inspired, some are just writings. Yes, there can be "geographical" errors in the Bible because man was not as well educated or equiped as we are today. In "founding of Christendom" Caroll says that the flood may not have covered the whole world, but "the world as they knew it" meaning that we have evidence of the flood being in the mesmotaphian plain (or somthing like that) and that man only knew that area of the middle east, and that was their Earth because they had not seen, discovered or know about that land yet. whos to say that God can't heal out of blood? His blood saved us all. With God anything is possible. do you think He can't "disinfect" blood. that passage is symbolic. meaning that blood will cleanse us, and gosh, that was written how many years before Chrisrt!

The issue of purity here is making a house ceremonially clean (the blood of animals atoned for sins). Look at the context of why they had to do all the birds and blood stuff...notice it is for making the house "ceremonially clean".
If you keep reading the context, it gives great and accurate advice on how to deal with mold. I was dealing with mold in our house & right in the middle of dealing with it, I opened the Bible to do a morning devotion & this was the passage I was reading! It was very helpful. The passage talks about how it may be necessary to tear down the house...been there, done that.
Good question though.

this goes to show . that god did not write the bible and human will error, science was not known i guess in those days or maybe science was a different source or idea in that time and space, but for sure it had nothing to do with god the thought of all that begin life.. if the truth is known and it will never be .. the bible is simple ideas of the human will .. even science knows not all and the many bibles is a form of science to hope to know it.the all .. BUDDHA SAID THE ONE IS ALL AND THE ALL IS ONE.

Jesus told the lame man to get up and walk, and he did.
Jesus told the blind man to rub mud on his eyes and he did, and his blindness was gone.
Now, if I tell the lame man to get up and walk, and he doesnt, does that mean that scientifically the bible has to be wrong?
If I rub mud on my eyes, will my blindness be gone? And if it is not gone, did I just prove the bible is wrong scientifically?
The answer to these questions is NO, just because one or a few were told to do a specific thing for a specific reason, does not mean that we can all now do that thing.
All this really proves is the all mighty nature of GOD and that his knowledge and power reigns supreme over all of us.

You obviously don't know anything about cleansing then and purification of those with leprosy. Do a little more research before you make a statement like that. Especially when you don't understand the significance of what you are putting down.

all religious bibles started out in oral tradition before writing was invented. and then there is the problem of translation from languges that are no longer in use but have been translated into some other langue so human errors can creep in with just one mistake of the meanig of one word.
also there is the fact that the old testament that most of us have read . refers to a time when cities were just starting to be built. most of the world was still sminomadic in nature with some aguculture starting holding people in one spot to grow the crops.

These were not recipies for house-hold cleaning supplies. The Jews were meant to obey these types of laws as an act of obedience to God. The law of the OT is primarily theological in nature relating to the Jews relationship with God.
