Start by using conditioner and frizz serum. Girl, I have the most poofy hair ever and I tried the new Sunsilk Straighten-Up shampoo and conditioner, and it really helps! It definitely doesn't straighten my hair, but it makes it shiny, soft, and most importantly, less poofy! They also have a shampoo-conditioner-frizz serum collection called "Anti-Poof", which would probably be even better than the one I have. It's from Sunsilk and it's in a pink bottle. Good luck, Hun! =)

Eat your puffy hairs.

puffy can be a sign of dryness. try a saturating conditioner or a bi-weekly hair masque. you might also want to check into the new 'sleek' or 'smoothing' products out there. i know garnier fructis and pantene have a few. good luck.

a good salon can cut it and thin in down for you.
also I've use that new frutrise shampoo...its done wonders for my hair, its much smoother now and has a nice shine to it...and i don't have to blow dry.
