It seems like Israel is doomed unless it's more level-headed citizens step up and insist that they're government and compatriots stop fighting tit for tat battles against a few extremist terrorists. How many innocents deserve to die so that Israel can continue to try and prove how "tough" it is? Maybe Zionists and Islamic Terrorists should sit down at a big table with plates and bowls full of the blood and innards of their wives and children and whoever can eat the most wins...

I think the "sane and concerned Jews" are the key to reforming Israel's policies right now because the Arab world is clearly against the actions of Israel, whereas most Jews and other strong allies are supporting Israel. If the Jews, who realize that what Israel is doing to the Palestinians is wrong, stand up against this then a solution to this bloodshed might emerge. Ultimately one side has to stop the violence and I don't think the Arabs will because they're basically retaliating to the creation of Israel and the violence that started since then (It's been a long and bloody chain reaction, stretching over several decades).

Historically, the Israeli response is not atypical. You hit me, I hit you harder. Of course, historically, it will not accomplish anything but provoke more violence, hate and death. Some of the prior responses to your question are troubling, but again, quite expected. We must all appreciate war and terrorism for what it truly is - murder and injustice. The Israeli army, the U.S. army, Iraqi insurgents, Hezbollah and every other organized militia in the history of time are just a bunch of murdering terrorists. I hope I don't ever see the horrors people in the Middle East see or face the choices they do. But for the entire human history, war and violence has never solved anything.

Israel is illegal state established on a stolen land from the Palestinians, and then the Jews continue their savage and barbaric killings and torture of the original people, the result will be that they will never ever live in peace their. The solutions is that loving American people and president donate for them one of their states (Texas is ideal) so they can live their in peace under the American protection and care and leave Palestine for ever.

No, Israel has finally had enough. They have suffered from suicide bombers getting on school buses and going into markets. They have been attacked repeatedly by terrorists who want to destroy them. No matter how much territory they gave up, it was never enough. Now they are doing what they must to defend themselves. It is what the US should be doing to countries that support terrorism. Go, Israel, go.

Maybe because everytime Israel tries "accomodation" they get more violence and intifadas.

Their enemies understand one thing- a boot on their throat.
