Religion is all about beliefs. It is very personal, whatever you believe in firmly must be right, otherwise, how could you believe it? This is why religion, if believed seriously enough, can cause tunnel vision with regards to people who believe differently.

I respect each and every person because we are all created in God's image. And He tells me to love them like He does. That includes letting them know that He has provided the payment for our sin debt and all we have to do is trust Him for it. It's like if someone told you that they had deposited $1,000,000 in the bank for you. If you didn't believe them then the money would just sit there and be of no benefit to you. It's the same with knowing about Jesus who told us...
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders, if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by him this man is standing before you well. This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:8-12
Praise the Lord!

Our cultures and communities top us to have self assurance in a God. right here in the united kingdom working example, many Atheists will nevertheless use OMG and Jesus Christ as exclamations. a lot of human beings will say "what's the harm of exclaiming a prayer" via fact they have not theory that basically 5 greater minutes skimming a textual content textile e book could be time greater effective spent basically before an examination than asking your imaginary chum for help. Likewise, they do no longer evaluate that a God that stands via and facilitates a toddler to be abused isn't likely to help somebody bypass their examination even nonetheless, maximum human beings do no longer think of further than their very very own sphere of impression.

The alternative is the mind's shattering of subjective reality. Not a pretty site for most and usually results in a dyfunctional life.
Our brains fill in the missing parts, real or not. It likes that. Feels secure. Law of facilitation invades the neurons after awhile. Try breaking that! Almost impossible.

You can believe whatever you want, but your belief doesn't matter unless you believe in the truth. For example, one could "believe" that they could fly, but they'll find out very soon after jumping off of a building that they didn't believe the truth. And which is the true, and only, way to heaven?
John 14:6
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

ever been to a football match (or "soccer" as you yanks call them) People get into serious wars over which team they think is better, and poeple die in the riots. Hmm sounds familiar. So, I can only conclude that it's not religion that causes the fighting, but people cause it thmeselves, to protect their beliefs

Excuse me. You show me 1 time, in The New Testament, where I am to RESPECT a false god, false teaching.
You show me 1 time, and I will. Respect anyone anywhere for any reason.
