America is the strongest nation which is why Russia and China do what they can to take us down a peg. Don't count on any support at all from them in North Korea. However, I wouldn't count on China stopping us either. If we have a confrontation with China what will they do with all of those exports?

Yes, we do and we should care. Not in the sense of total agreement but in the sense that they arre willing to cooperate and work with us to solve problems. Problems need addressing in the international world, problems such as North Korea. Alone we cannot hope to bring solutions to these problems but with help from such world powers as China and Russia we have more of a coalition to address them with.
Don't overstate the power of our nation. In this day and age we may be considered the most powerful nation (not greatest, that arrogence) in the world but I'm sure that power will fade with time. China could emerge in our lifetime to become a second world superpower. In this day and age we should respect them because of that knowledge.
Arrogence will get us nowhere.

Well now w/o a security council blessing we fight with little support from the rest of the world & much undercover assistance for our enemies. WITH a security council blessing the whole world goes to war together against the target. The US is very strong, but because we play by known rules we can be beaten by lesser enemies, especially if other countries team up against us. Being a great country speaks to our form of government, not so much political, economic, or military power. Each of those are stong, but not more morally right than other. Ultimately you have to win situations by being right moreso than by being the strongest bully. A lot of democrats will want to jump on that last statement, but I'd caution that they really don't understand the region, people, or our short & long-term objectives.

Russia and China wont support the US because they are against the war in the middle east and said they will do something if the US attacks Iran because they get their oil from there.

We are the greatest but we need their influence on North Korea to settle this peacefully. Because Russia and China are really N. Korea's only allies.

Well who said anything about being the greatest? That is only our opinion...
We are the most powerful yes and I am not sure that is good, but the greatest? Thats a bit egotistical.....I think we should be grateful for what we have and leave it at that...
