Listen to your dad. He is right. We really do not know what kind of a person he is. He may be good but can't take the risk. better be safe than sorry. There cases where adults get to know girls, especially teenagers and raped them when they meet. These people mad it difficult to trust anybody we meet on the internet.

Trust that your dad 1) wants to keep you safe and ultimately happy, 2) has lots more experience in relationships, 3) knows what guys are REALLY after, 4) cares about your feelings and will listen to your opinions if you are open to listening to his. Talk to him, find out why he feels the way he does and tell him why you feel the way you do, I doubt very much that you would regret following dad's advice. Remember, there are lots of great guys out there.

well, considering that the internet is not a safe place to be meeting people, I would suggest you listen to your father.
If you are over the age of 18, and are living at home then I would also say that if you are living in his house you need to abide by his rules.
If you are under the age of 18 you have no reason to be calling any stranger on the internet that your parents do not know.
Too many children have been killed because of this exact problem.
Just listen to your dad.

how old are you? if you're dad is interfering, you might be too young to get serious with someone you got to knw from the net. Or maybe he's concerned about the phone bill. Are you sure about this guy? have you tried guys in your neighborhood or a friend's friend? Wouldnt you like to consider getting to know other guys -those that you can see and talk to in person? I think you're young because you're dad still interferes

i can understand where your dad is coming from, and he probably only wants the best for he's daughter.
But not all Dads know how you feel, iv had a similar case as well...
but when you get older, you'll come to realize that your father is only doing whats best...
To be honest, i wouldn't want my daughter, speaking to a complete stranger over the Internet, who she has never met before....!
Have a talk with your dad...tell him what you feel in side..I'm sure he'll come to realize at one stage of the game,

Listen to your dad. Don't you know about the perverts who go after young girls on the net? This guy could be 45 years old and a sex offender for all you know. It is very easy to fool sweet little girls. Don't talk to strangers. Ever.

Stay away from this Internet guy. What do you REALLY know about him? Dads are there to protect their daughters from guys who have bad motives. I say obey your Dad.

Say adios to the internet guy. There are two many perverts on the internet. Stick to the live guys that you know.

Well your Dad knows best, how old is this boy and you?
Your Dad loves you and doesn't want anything bad to happen to you so just talk to him. Don't go be hind his back and do anything that's how bad things happen!

It depends on how old you are. If you are 16 or under then do what your father says. It's his house and therefore his rules. He's just trying to look out for you.

If you are 18+ then you are an adult and it's your life so do what you want.
