Depends on the situation. As a general guideline, for optimal health (particularly muscle and brain development), a 7 year old should sleep between 8 - 11 hours per day. If she is napping during the day, she obviously would need less sleep at night. If she has to get up and be somewhere during the day you should 'back out' her bedtime by doing the math for what sleep time and prep time (going to bed and getting up). You can tell if she is getting enough sleep by monitoring if during the day she is generally any of the following: irritable, hyper, forgetful, has difficulty concentrating or just plain sleepy.

As for shifting to a school year schedule, you can do this by just getting her up earlier if she has been going to sleep later during the summer. Something about early am sunlight helps to retrain the brain.

Good luck!

Well you probably shouldn't put her to bed to early because it is summer and she can sleep in, but not to late because you also want her to be more willing to get up earlier when school starts. So with all that in mind i would say anywhere from 9:30 to 10:30!

Hope I helped!!

I went to bed at 9pm when I was 7. But since it is the summer I think you could allow her to sleep a bit later (around 9:30pm-10pm)

At an appropriate time such as 8 or 9pm. Dont make it later unless you are at a special family function and cant get home sooner. Children need regular bed times to get them used to it for when they go back to school.

I think my kids went to bed at 9 also. It depends on the parents. If they have to get the child up for daycare very early, then bedtime would be earlier.

Between 9 and 10, it's easier to get them back into routine for school if they don't stay up late.

An hour later, then her regular bed time. Then when school gets closer, make her go back to the regular time period.
