There are no study guides or information, but do the best you can trying to learn the language that does not exist.

I really hope you pass, if not, the Air Force forces you to change your job. It is needs of the Air Force. Linguist is a great job, unfortunately, the Army is teh only branch to get you tested BEFORE you join for it and you'll know it is yours.

Good luck on the test. I have never taken it, but I have heard that it is basically a made up language and they see how well you can learn the rules for it.

My daughter is currently at DLI in Monterey, studying Korean. She is halfway through the class and loving it. But, she is Army and did the test before she enlisted, so I don't know if the rules for the Air Force are as the other poster said or not.

No advice, but do a good job! You'll LOVE montery. After that I hear you'll be on teh move a lot but enjoyable job. Most troops don't know what's going on 5 miles away form them, and are in a bubble because of the language barrier, but you'll see much more. Also good route into intel during & after you leave. Korean & Arabic/Farsci are big right now, Chinese is an excellent choice too. Good Luck!!!!

There's no way to prepare for that test. Basically you'll listen to a tape while they read certain grammar rules to you. Then they'll read a sentance with a blank word and you'll have to apply those rules to figure out what option is the best fit. It's confusing as all heck but I guess that's the design cause I did extremely well on it and was completely off my mind the entire time.

Good luck. It's gonna rack your brain but don't judge it by that, you may be surprised.
