Hi,
What a wonderful place to be. Young, healthy, full of energy, ... I just think that you have forgotten what a wonderful, unique, special, loving person you are. A person who is unlike anyone else in this world.
It's ok to to love yourself (lots) and with that it's easy to have a completely different outlook on life.
You are beautiful and and special. Don't let the other goofballs in the 'world' tell you different!

Could it be reaching that magic age that's bothering you? Reaching a "milestone" age can affect people that way.
My cup is currently 3/4 full, but it hasn't always been. I've been through the dark times, but I am stronger for them. I know that they are only temporal illusions.
Could it be spiritual? May I suggest a book that helped me, called Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch? You don't have to be religious to be able to relate to it. It's a fantastic book. Give it a try. Can't hurt.
Or you just might want to talk to a counsellor or your doctor. My family doctor was very helpful to me when I went through depression after being downsized from my company after 11 years of service.

Some people I've known in similar situations have found a reliable caretaker to watch their child/children or placed them in daycare (3hrs or more per day). Giving yourself some "time" to do something or things that interest you (maybe going back to school, if you haven't completed a higher education degree, or volunteering, etc.) may allow you to feel like you're also an important part of the world outside your home, just as you are at home.

half empty. I think it makes me a pragmatist and I'm not let down much. besides, some professions are better suited for pessimists. others for optimists. as for you, sounds like a little bout with the beginnings of depression. see a therapist. Oh yeah, and watch The World's Fastest Indian.

Everybody goes through those periods where ones emotions are on roller-coaster - so in that sense, it is normal. BUT, if such feeling persists and/or if it is preventing you from enjoying things you used to enjoy, it is a danger sign.
You should visit a doctor (MD) to rule out medical problems that may be causing it, then visit a psychologist or psychiatrist to find out emotional causes.
Good luck.

Many people deal with up and down feelings.
Whether you see the glass as half full or half empty, it holds precisely the same amount of liquid.

You could be fighting with depression. You might want to go see your doctor to find out if there is any physiological reason for your condition, or if you're completely healthy get a referral to see a counselor. Good luck.

Hey, at least you HAVE a cup. =) Hehe.
Seriously, my cup is always half empty. I'm just a pessimist by nature. I'm skeptical and cynical about everything. That's just part of who I am.
