It's doubtful that vomiting once or twice a week will 'mess up' your metabolism unless this action causes you to go below your BMR requirements (the amount of calories your body has to have in order to thrive).
However, as many of your readers have said, this action can lead to any number of health issues. Purging simply isn't a good way to shed excess calories.
How much weight are you trying to lose before school starts?
The reason I ask is because the 'trick' to weight loss is to eat enough to sustain your body but cut back on excess calories that aren't being used to energize your body.

I only suggest that you eat 1200 calories a day, as that is what is needed for your organs to fuction completely. Your metabolism does adjust to a lower calorie intake, but in the oppsite way. It slows down, so you may initially lose weight but then your body stops losing weight. If you keep eating a too-low calorie diet, then your metabolism will suffer the rest of your life.

One, you don't ever NEED to lose weight unless you're morbidly obese.
Second, yes it will slow down your metabolism. Telling your body you have food inside you and then barfing it all out will mess with your blood sugars.
And finally, the acid will seriously jack up your teeth. You might be skinny, but your smile will be rancid.
Just relax, you're not fat. Guys will like you for who you are.

If you're throwing up to purge food, you have a problem. Amongst other things, frequently throwing up can cause problems in your throat including ulcers, because of the stomach acid flowing through your throat too often.

Interesting how you're only worried that bulemia (throwing up when you overeat, an eating disorder like anorexia) will slow down your weight loss. It will also mess up your electrolytes (potentially life-threatening and heart-damaging), inflame your esophagus, corrode your teeth, cause fatigue, ulcers, dehydration, constipation. Please stop and get psychological help.
