I personally think that it's pointless in my opinion...but i'm sXe so i'm against it...but why do people drink?(alcohol)

i am not really sure. Hey it is good to be sXe well i think hey davey is so its kinda good to look up to him in that way. he got through school with out trying drugs and stuff i think or so i read so thats good! YAY!!!!!!! LOL! who cares if others drink or do drugs thats their problem if they are destroying their bodies its their life so you can only control you and stand up to peer pressure! Rock on! LOL! let them do what they want. but be who you wanna be and don't let no one stop ya! good luck!
sXe is straight edge for all those dumb people and if it is not i am one of those dumb people too! LOL!

Hello ...we drink because it is there. We drink because of how we remember our 1st drink. Was it peer pressure? Was it because both parents were passed out drunk themselves and we were simply curious.
You are sXe and there is no need for you to use the effects (you have your own effects) as others do.
.The real question is why do people take the 2nd and 3rd and on and on more, more booze! You have the answers here for that, be drunk, escape, fit in, and oh ya for the taste. There are as many answers as there are drinkers.
..After a time it is simply a habit (co$tly too) and the ever present advertisers make it look so glamorous, like Hollywood-... everyone wants to be chic.
On your path to awakening and finding your personal fulfillment in life...alcohol is pointless. It is poison and hurts our bodies.

They say it is written in the bible that God not only created the spirits (wine)but also sat a sort of rules if you will about the level of mans suffering or sadness when drinking of it. For IE if a man was to loose his job he may only be able to drink a glass or two and if a man lost his wife or child he could drink a more stronger drink.With this,you must understand man and our weaknesses.We can only handle so much of this worlds little surprises before we need an outlet. A way to escape from ones imperfections.I would apologize for any wrong doing this may have caused you in your life(drinking) but if some one elses drinking made you realize that it does not fix whats broken, then you have not only learned from them your stronger for it. Be Blessed and always know that some people just aren't as clear on lifes little jokes as you are

I used to drink just to get messed up.
I have stopped for the most part. Every now and then I like a cold beer...maybe 1 every 3-6 months just because I like the taste of a good beer.

To relax, peer pressure, It eases social interaction, to get drunk, etc... A beer or a glass of wine is better for ones health than soda pop... I do not drink much anymore, maybe a beer or a glass of wine every other week... I just do not have much of an interest in drinking and I hate to get drunk...

1. To party

Seriously though, it's escapism. People either don't like themselves or don't like their life and it allows them to become someone else for a little while and forget about their life. Sad really. But for as long as we've been around, we've discovered ways to "tune out" and get out of ourselves for a little while.
If you can celebrate and love life and yourself and don't feel the need for an artificial confidence booster, all the more power to you. It's way better than risking a hangover or making a fool out of yourself as you stagger around telling everyone "I wuv you, I really really do".

I think people drink to escape bad memories in their past. and I think alcoholics are lonely people that need real true heartfelt love. If they really felt love I don't think they would be drinking.

To me... I believe that a-lot of men drink because they cannot, or will not talk to anyone about their problems, so why not drink and add another problem on top of the ones they already have?!
