Check the following,

1. CPU fan is working fine (may be your processor overheated).
2. Verify your HARD DISK for bad sectors.

or try to create partition and format the hard disk using thrid-party softwares. Like Nortan Disk Manager or Seagate Disk Utilities.

After that try to install the XP (SP2).

Need more help, reply me.

Take off your standby mode - start up, administration PANEL, exhibit, SCREENSAVER and ability make all of them say under no circumstances. once you position in living house windows xp, there is the prospect of having an endemic virtually today till you get provider %. 2 on it...as you should set up it including your virus safe practices off. in some unspecified time sooner or later in spite of the indisputable fact that it needs to get some thing from the web so so that you could pick to have it on and with somewhat of success you could run an endemic examine before you get decrease back on the internet to position in provider %. 2. Microsoft does deliver provider %. 2 on a disk to human beings.

It sounds like you have low memory on your system. Without more information, I couldn't say for certain.

Make sure that you have enough free memory to install the service pack. If you're not sure what that is, check the microsoft site.
