I really like my cousin Brett's friend Alex and he likes me. The only problem is that Brett doesn't want me to date him. He says he's a a**hole and he wouldn't treat me right but we talk on the phone a lot and he's not like that to me he's really sweet and I know he's a lot better than sum of my exs, which Brett doesn't have a problem wit. I've tried telling my cousin that he probably acts differently around him than me and that we really like each other but he won't listen. I've dated my cousins other friends before so I don't know why Alex is different? Should I go ahead and make myself happy by dating Alex or not date him to make my cousin happy?

I think you would be happier with Alex. I was in a really weird situation that had to do with my friend and her cousin. I dated her cousin and it turns out they were not cousins and that they are exs. Messed up? For sure.

Listen to Brett and stay away from Alex. If you've dated other of your cousin's friends and he's had no problem, then Alex is definitely a player.

I think you should go for it and try it out any guy that says he does not want to hurt you truly cars about you and wants to be with you but is afraid to be so go ahead and make it happen.

What, if anything, do you owe your cousin? Do what you want you aren't living to please your cousin.
