Thunderbird works with Hotmail if you go and download the WebMail extension :-) I use it for Yahoo mail.

I use hotmail with Incredimail and Mozilla's Thunderbird. I think most email clients will work with hotmail. But unless you have had your hotmail account for YEARS then you can't use it in email clients without paying for premium.

I'm using portable Thunderbird.
I can use it on my flash drive.
So, I can check my email everywhere.
It's easy to backup. Just drag & drop the files to my pc.
