I bass fish and dawn and dusk are good times and some of the best fishing I have ever had is with a thunderstorm approaching as I have read this makes them bite more because after the front moves thru they shut down for a while. But be careful of the lightning of course.

Wind form the west - fishing is the best
Wind from the south blows your bait to the fishes mouth
Wind from the east and the fishing is the least
Wind from the north and the fisherman shall not go forth

one of the best times is right before a front moves thru. seems fish turn on pretty heavy and when the front goes thru and we get those blue bird skies they shut off. realy though after a front you can still catch them but the fish just pull tighter to cover like weeds laydowns and ect. just tougher to get to.
