The Drinking Age in Puerto Rico is 18. That's hasn't changed. What did change is that you are a minor until 21. BUt the Drinking age remained the same.

The proper age is 21 however like all things... people do what ever they want with no respect for the laws. That's why we have a high rate of traffic accidents that involve younger persons. The Puerto Rico State Police has an active campaign to address this.Still the deaths on the roads can be attributed to drinking and driving. This is something that is seen everywhere and until people don't become responsible, we will have to deal with this one death at a time.

I am Puertorican and the correct answer is 21. It was changed from 18 about a year or 2 after the US changed it from 18 to 21. I was there to visit family 2 years ago so I know that's right. We have laws just like anywhere else. The legal age for smoking is 18 still just like here in the US.

In PR the correct age for drinking is 21 but in small towns you can have a beer at 18 with your id card.

PR is a law-less country... Age is of no essence... Money or food-stamps will buy you drinks regardless of age. The entire Puertorican nation is drunk since the Tainos....
