I began talking to someone online several months ago and we decided that I would fly out to meet him after I felt comfortable enough. Several weeks before I planned to fly to see him, I met someone in my own city, and we began dating. The local guy "Ted" knew that I would be flying out of state, and I decided that I would just treat the out-of-state guy "Bob" as a friend, and nothing more. Well... me and "Bob" really hit it off, I spent a week with him and fell head over heels. "Bob" and I considered dating long distance. My trip to see "Bob" ended things with "Ted" here and I continue to talk to "Bob" everyday and he is planning to fly to see me within weeks. The delimma is that being with "Bob" would be very difficult seeing that he lives several states away, and I don't know if I could handle that for long. I really miss "Ted" and he is asking me to give us another shot, and I want to. At the same time I want to know if me and "Bob" could work. What should I do? I'm torn. :( help!

Ok Take it from someone who is in a long distance relationship.
IT sucks to not see that person everyday, or meet them for a drink after work, or make plans with them over the weekend. Believe the distance will wear off on you. Stick with Ted, you are likely to have a happier more fulfilling relationship that way.

I think you should go with Ted. A relationship with Ted will be much easier. How far do you really think the relationship with Bob will go. Unless you or Bon are willing to move, there's really no future. Why tie yourself up with a guy who is so far away when you have a guy near you who likes you and you like him.

Complex scenario you have.

Lets put it like this. Are you willing to move out to where Bob is? No? Is he willing to move to you? No? Then it really would be to difficult to attempt it, if both are not willing to move closer.

I am not saying you should go with Ted either. There is insufficient information to make that type of decision for someone else. . . .sorry.
