Here's the riddle: Denise walks into her living room to find her roommate Charlotte lying on the floor, surrounded by broken glass and water. How did Charlotte get there?

The others missed the fact that there was an Earthquake and Charlotte the fish's bowl fell and broke....otherwise the riddle doesn't work....a fish bowl full of water has a lot of inertia (ability to resist motion), so it wouldn't just fall off the shelf or table!
And by consevation of momentum, there is no way that Charlotte from within the bowl could have caused enough of a stir to move the bowl!

Charlotte tripped over a HUGE ice cube and knocked down the goldfish bowl breaking the glass. This rendered her unconscious and surrounded in water and broken glass! This killed the fish because it had no water anymore. :(

did denise get mad because charlotte flurted with denise boyfriend outside so denise desided it was time for charlotte to go back inside.hint: Charlotte didn't need key anymore.and about the water denise still wasn't happy so she pured water on her to wake her up to punch her a few times.

If Charlotte is a blonde, she could have tripped over her panties, which are naturally around her ankles while looking at her reflection in the side of a glass thinking, "OMG, does this glass make me look fat, I should break this glass" LOL
