A promise ring is like an engagement ring. It means that she is the one you hope to eventual marry but may be too young to get engaged or married. It is a commitment that can be broken. Not aas serious as being engaged. But more serious than being boyfriend and girl friend because she puts it on herwedding finger and this is a sign to others that she is committed. Guys too.

a promise ring is usually something a guy gives to a girl that doesn't want to marry but acts like a wedding ring..you know love that person forever don't cheat etc.

a promise ring has several meanings, if given by ur man it means u promise to stay faithful, true, and honest to his heart, if given by family its a reward towards a goal ur achieving, and to recieve 1 off a friend its the promise to be there for them when they need u...and be a true honest friend.... see a ring is a circle, a bond that never ends for eternity...

there is no real promise... you have to talk to her and make a promise that is special between the two of you. promise to love each other for ever... or promise to be faithful to each other... anything that is important for you two in the relationship

well theres different reasons. like a parent can give a kid one like a promise to them to not do drugs, or have sex. or something til their married. if a guy gave me a promise ring i would take it as either don't cheat, or don't have sex. something like that.
