I drink Silk soymilk. I am curious if it can take the place of milk ALL the time. And if so, do you use the same proportions?

No, not all the time. when you cook cakes or use milk in things like soup or coffee it can be dificult to use. You must experiment with different brands when it comes to using it as an ingredient in cooking. In a soup you must stir all the time to prevent it from seperating or going funny

I don't see why not. I would use it in the same proportions as well. If you don't like the flavor it imparts in some of the foods, another option would be to use rice milk.

I don't know if it would "act" the same way in recipes. You might get some odd results if you use it in a recipe originally made with cows milk.

My daughter was lactose intolerant.... so we used soy milk for cereal and drinks.... she couldn't have milk at all. As an adult, I don't care for milk, and I use tums and calcium pills as calcium substitutes.

Stay away from soy. It's dangerous for your health.
