Christians believe that their religion is supreme just like most other religions. Christianity, which has only been around since after the death of Jesus Christ, is a sort of continuation, sequel, prophecy come true after Judaism therefore it is not plausible nor was it meant for Christianity to be around since the dawn of time. However, the history of Judaism and its origins I'm not so informed about (I need to be, I've given me something to research, thanks.) however it does explain the beginning of man at least and provides highly-productive social guidelines. We believe our religion to be the one true religion on the basis of everything we believe...The Bible, or texts of the prophets. This is a result of heritage, faith, and for some (hopefully more than some) personal experience. For instance, my prayers are answered and I choose to believe that they are answered because I am a follower of God and Jesus, this comforts me, I believe it, therefore, it's what I put my faith in, just as people of any other religion do.
Free Will is a trickier subject. We have free will yet God knows all? This seems contradictory, and after decades of contemplation I have yet to come to a full conclusion on this subject. My personal theory is that either God sees all combinations of paths that we will travel down due to our choices, therefore he knows all, but doesn't. Or, God does know all and we are given the allusion of free will so that we don' get pissy and stay pissy all the time because that would be boring. But then, if God did not grant us free will why do not all people worship him? If I controlled everyone, I wouldn't let them worship other Gods, I'd make them all worship me, that's the fun in it. But really free will and predestination and judgment for that matter are all very confusing subjects. I'm also interested to know what your religion's stance on this subject is; I've never been informed of it, I'd really like to learn more, so email me if you want to or have spare time.
As for this country and whether or not we freely believe here, in America I assume (I live in Britain but am really an American), we are able to believe what we want (does this suggest free will as well? what else could it be called?) but we are judged by other fellow-countrymen from their perspectives and also quite often are shunned because they believe differently than us. This however is human nature; it is in human nature to try to dominate, and a form of domination (that has been used to dominate and control for centuries) is religion and personal (forced or otherwise) belief. It's a constant battle for who's right and who's wrong that will never be resolved because another aspect of human nature is stubbornness, and very infrequently do humans like to accept that they are wrong and people (Although most religions teach that to be holy one must overcome one's natural human nature: the ultimate hurtle) rarely are successful in overcoming their natural instincts.
In Conclusion, I believe that my religion (Christianity obviously) is the one true religion because I believe the scripture and it works for me, and I don't like the ideas presented in other religions, and don't find them as realistic as those in Christianity. While this may seem contradictory to others, consider that their opinion seems contradictory to me (thus human stubbornness). Oh what a tangled web we weave.
Hope somewhere in there I gave you an opinion you were looking for. :)

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man gets to the father, but through me.
I would like to share with you the Truth about the afterlife. I only tell you this because I care what will happen to you when you die. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, used God’s name in vain? These are just a few of God’s Moral Laws. When you die, God will judge you on the basis of His Moral Law. If you stand guilty before God of breaking His Laws, He will send you to Hell. If God is Just and Holy, He must punish lawbreakers. The good news is that God provided a way for you to be forgiven and go to Heaven. Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again to pay the debt for your sins and take your punishment. What you must do is Repent, which means to say you are sorry to God and turn away from your sins. Then put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be accepted into Heaven, not because you’re a good person, but because you’re a bad person who’s been forgiven. Please give this some thought. Your Eternal Destination depends on it.

Christianity is a faith that believes that their way is the in basic terms way. All religions are literally not this way. even as Christianity all started it became compelled onto the peopl by the governments of the time. Thats way pagans wer persecuted ans witches were performed. Christianity has a lengthy heritage of violence. Even in the present day they'll stress themselves on you. you won't be able to to Wal_mart without someone preventing you and preaching and praying for you. in reality they stress human beings to remodel because they imagine that their way is the in basic terms way. Convert or burn in hell. Its quite stupid in case you imagine about it yet regrettably its the truth, those that recognize the truth about Christianity and nevertheless push it are those that use it to reason conformity and function ulterior motives. Its quite a sad difficulty. i imagine that all people that calls themseleves a Christian ought to ought to study the origins and heritage of the religion with the intention to be aside of it. (and that i dont propose examine the Bible) i imagine if extra human beings did that there should be a lot less Christians.

Many religions think theirs is the "one & only". As for free choice in this country, I think we're leaning towards a theocracy. The Religious Right has a tremendous amount of power, and they are slowly changing the course of our country - and not necessarily for the best. Observe other theocracies - Iran, for instance. I'm not so sure governments run by the overly religious is a very good idea. But I'll stop now, I think I've gotten off-topic.

We are all human and not all Christians think their better than the next Religion. You can pick out certain people in all of them and some will give you the feeling your not as good as they are or you should believe what they do or your not worthy of their company. It 's about all walks of life not a group that has been labeled, each person is one single person their own individual. Freedom is something we seem to be losing more of every day. It's amazing how one person can change a law and everyone else lets them.

As a christian I knoe that Jesus is the only true way to heaven.
And your free will to be pagan, and a servant of Satan is your choice! I seriously doubt you ever knew Jesus as your Lord and
Saviour! Because if you truly knew him. You would not have chosen something so wrong! I myself could never turn from what I know is right! You seem to be a malcontent, unable to
handle the truth!

It's impossible for all religions to be correct. They contradict each other. Essentially, God sees only two religions. The one that worships the true God and those that worship false gods. There's really no inbetween.
Oh, and by the way, you were never really a Christian or you wouldn't have converted. :o) And you'd know the answer to your question.

I'm a Christian and honestly, I don't have any problems with other religions
we are taught to love one another despite our differences
I don't insist that Christianity is the only religion, nor is it the "one true" religion
everyone believes what they want to believe, they choose which path to take
I respect that
I don't insist on making everyone in the world Christians

Forget religion.
Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Christ is the tree of life.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

OK, here is my perspective on this, it is just not Christians, it's the Jews, Muslims, overall any religion. I feel that religion is the worlds biggest evil. People have been killing each other for centuries in order to defend that their religion is the "one true religion." I just can not believe any relgion, they are all one-sided.
