do you do regular exercise, half hour a day?
do you eat a healthy balanced diet?

Spot reduction is really a myth, fat is reduced generally all over. Crunches for example build the muscles up in that area. The exercise and conditioning is burning off the fat. As you age it gets worse, and more difficult. Stress over time causes the deposits too.
Try at least three days of 25+ minutes of aerobic.

The waist is the where the weight gathers for men, tis true.
The best thing is to do situps and strengthen your core muscles and check and make sure what you're eating isn't contributing to it.
If you drink beer, then, you know what I'm gonna say here. :-)

Try exercising your abs and obliques, of course the stomach is the hardest area of a man to tighten up but exercise and a diet will help you to shrink the size of your stomach

If you have exogenous obesity, then your waistline is hereditary. You would require surgery if this is the case. Otherwise. Exercise seriously and watch those calories.
