Like, a girl who is shy and doesn't warm up to people very quickly.
What goes in her (possibly your) mind when you see a guy.
What would be a good way to handle a shy girl?
And what impresses a shy girl?
For now I'm only interested in being friends.

I work at the local movie theatre and have seen her a few times, we've never really talked, but the other night she was with her best friend and she DID smile at me, for the first time I think, wether she was smiling at me or smiling in general I think it was a good sign lol. heh- I did point that out to her, lol, that was the longest I've ever been around her, and dang they ordered alot of candy .

One thing I want to ask is- is she listening, sometimes I'm kind of quiet when I say something to her, which isn't often but I wonder if she hears what I say.

Check out some of my answers and 'best' answers and questions and let me know what part of my personality would be best to be dominant?

well see, she doesn't really know me at all.
We have never really talked, never a whole conversation, only a few words which are usually mine.

believe me, I smile at most everyone but esspecially she makes me smiles, and blush, I hope she sees it ;) Blushing is a great sign, unfortunatly she may not know that.

hahah, yea, trust me, FEEL like a clutz and she makes me very nervouse at first when I see her, I did tell her that once, when getting her popcorn lol(that sounds so stupid / romantic begining) I said that I was sorry (cause I was messing up) she was making me nervous, but I'm not sure if she heard me, I was kind of quiet and her mom just walked up lol.

What often goes on, is that the girl is very well aware of her strengths (particularly if she's smart or an intellectual), but has been rejected by a guy, because of those strengths. A shy girl will be wondering 'does he see the 'real' me??' or is it just a game for him?

The best quality that anyone can have, is to be loving and kind, and to address her from the standpoint of the qualities that are common to us all -- ie if you tell or show her in some way, that you're a bit nervous as well talking with her, maybe even to the point of being a bit of a klutz, that can assure her that you have similar fears, and she won't be berated for her shyness. Sometimes, people who are shy, can display a great deal of affection and loyalty, once they're assured that their "true colors" are appreciated and valued. Humor is a great way to "break the ice".

I think a shy girl would be impressed by someone who consistently goes out of their way, to please her, to find out what she likes, and to make her laugh.

Man, you have got it bad! I was a shy girl in school and I don't really believe any of the guys my age even wanted to talk to me. Just because she is shy doesn't mean that you have to be! and if you get to know her, you might find that she really isn't shy at all. Just say "I want you to know that I think you are really beautiful and I would like to get to know you a little better, so, would you like to go out sometime?" It's polite, and to the point. Just make sure you pull her aside when you ask her. Shy people don't like to be the center of any kind of attention. You sound like a decent God Loving kind of guy and I think she would be stupid to turn you down. Good Luck!

In order...

-What goes on in a shy girls mind?

Well, I'm pretty shy myself. I personally think when a guy looks at me like I've gone something wrong or my pants are down at my ankles or something. But then again, I may not qualify.

-Does she hear me?

Well, if you talk loud enough, I'm sure she hears you, just doesn't know how to reply. A lot of times thats the situation.

Shy girls are shy because they think they're inadequate. They think if they show interest you'll be revolted, like how could a guy like you- mediocre or fabulous, it doesn't matter- ever like a girl like her, even as a friend? And wouldn't it presumptuous of her to assume you'd want to be her friend? And she wouldn't want to impose on you... and you might feel sorry for her because she's such a sad excuse for a human, so you might feel OBLIGATED to be friends with her, and that would be... so much worse. And if she doesn't try or expect anything, she can't be hurt again.

Not that I know from experience or anything (haha)...

Try talking to her. Make an effort. You have no idea how much it may be appreciated.

Fear of embarassment or rejection goes on in the mind of shy girls(like me). There was this guy in my college math class that I really wanted to get to know better. I knew he liked me also, but I always avoided him or went the other way. What I admired about him was his determination. He approached me one day when I wasn't looking, and asked me did I like him.I was mortified, but I told him I did in a shaky voice. We have now been together for 4 years and are getting married in July of next year!

Too many of us hide our true feelings because we are too afraid to care too much, for fear that the other person does not care as much, or even at all.

well, why don't u pick up ur courage and smile back at her?

i think being witty will impress her.
hold her attention, tell a joke

i am shy, it is hard to talk to others , your always thinking should i answer some one will the laugh at me will they say nothing, you mind is going a thousand miles a minute, and it is mostly what will they think of me type stuff. and yes shy people listen very closely to what is being said, for fear ,that they will make a mistake. be patent and talk to her. make eye contact so she knows you take her seriously.
