It's actually sad how few of you are responding well to this question.

Okay, I can't stand it any longer. The whole point of this question is, shouldn't Christians check their pride at the door when they enter their church?

That is a very true statement.
I go by the thought that if I ever found the perfect church, they wouldnt be able to let me in, or it wouldnt be perfect anymore.
It is a great way to remind all of us that humility is something to be strived for, not obtained, for if we attain it, we are proud in it, and it is no longer true humility.
For those that believe that a sign of any sort would be able to keep Jesus/GOD out. He knows our hearts and would know very easily we are applying this sign to ourselves and not the one we come together to worship, for he is everywhere, even the dark places where people seek to hide from him.

No. Even saved people are still sinners. We go to church because we know we have sinned and seek forgivness for the sins we have committed. The Bible tells us All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Everyone should attend a church of THEIR CHOICE whenever the opportunity arises. As for me, I have been saved, joined church, and I make it three times a week to church if at all possible.

The purpose of church is for believers to gather together for fellowship and worship, while providing opportunities for sinners and unbelievers to be accepted and learn. The best place for sinners to gather and be sinners, is a bar.

Very good point. Some of them seem to forget that the icky homosexuals and such aren't the only "sinners."
(No, I don't believe homosexuality is a sin.)

We're all sinners! There is only 1 man who was perfect and he died on the cross for our sins, all we have to do is ask for forgivness.

Not necessary. Everyone is a sinner, except Jesus Christ, and no sign could ever keep Him out. :o)

Yes but alot of them wouldn't because some people like to think they are perfect and better than others because of their chosen religion.

No, everyone knows that already; you don't have to dwell on it. Church is supposed to be enlightening and life-changing, not dull and repulsing.
