Yes, that is okay. Hopefully she will get used to the pups. But if not, you may need to bottle feed them. You'll know what to do if the pups aren't gaining weight.

Sometimes mommy dogs need time out from their pups. Being a mother does not always come natural to all dogs for some reason.

Can you bring Mommy and pups to the vet to make sure everyone is healthy?

Yes, this is fine to do. Some first time mothers don't do to well.. Also, clip the tonails on the puppies because they do scratch up the moms tummy and it hurts.

Make sure she is feeding them about every 2 hours, for no less than 10 minutes.

When they get to be 3 weeks you can start them on a mush, just ground up puppy food soaked in water so its really wet and soupy... They will start to nurse less when they start eating

You will want to feed them that 2x a day and have mom still nurse after they eat and in between (let mom eat up the remaining puppy food while she nurses.)

At about the 4th week you can start to descreese the water and give them small kibble its to chew on..

Well 1 /12 years old is a bit young. She might just not be a good mother so you need to go to the vet get bottles and the stuff they drink from the vet. Holding down the mother is going to add more stress to her that will make for her milk to sour and your new puppy's to get sick. I am sure you don't want that they could die. Man you got your work cut out for you now. Best of luck to you and all the little guy's and momma too.

Yeah. You are kinda a loser for letting your mutts breed.

If that were the case with the Humane Society, you would be on their doorstep with the dog and puppies and they would be getting you help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really think they would be doing whatever they could to help you if they adopted you a dog that was pregnant!!! Most Humane Societies spay and neuter BEFORE they are adopted out.

You may havee to bottle feed the babies. If she has not accepted them in 2 1/2 weeks, she will not accept them later.

Why dint you guys feed them they need proper care immediately because if you cant take care of them take them into a veteran and the gain custody if you cant take care of it because that isn't fair to the pups.
