Its not a question of can, its a question of will.

We put a man on the moon for God sakes, no one honestly believes we can't built a damned fence. Until they feel more pressure by the public they won't do it. The house Republicans no it is there, I am half surprised the Dem's didn't go with a enforcement first type bill, just because Bush was not for it (at the time).

Call your Senators call your Representative and tell them we want border security. You may think you voice means nothing, but it does have an affect.

First area 51 is now abandoned as in no activity is being conducted anymore there's a rumor the project has been moved to Alaska. Second the border doesn't compare in size and the amount of people trying to pass the border. Third stop worrying about how many hispanics are trying to get a job, feed their kids and have a better future,Worry about yourself do u even have a job?if so r u scared the hispanics r so competitive and hardworking they make take over ur job easily.Stop all the hating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its all about who's in charge. The US military industrial complex controls "Area 51" and they obviously can secure it. The Department of Homeland Security is in charge of border protection. These are the same guys that run FEMA (Hurricane Katrina), the CIA (Can't find Bin Laden), Port Security (Sold to Arabs) and Airport Security (search grandmas). Need I say anymore.

Because they don't want to. The only way it is going to get done is by private citizens reporting to Border Patrol when they see people sneaking over. If only more citizens would get angry about this situation and get off their lazy butts and DO SOMETHING. Even if they can't actually go patrol the border or help build the fence, they can do alot sitting right in their living room. For example, make phone calls to their lawmakers (local, state and US). Tell everyone they see to do the same. Want more info?

Because as much as we don't want to admit it, we need illegal immigrants to do all the crapy jobs no one else wants to do. Besides national secrets and advanced technology aren't on our borders. Another problem is cost. Area 51 is much smaller than our borders, and the technology used to secure it isn't cheap

Because our borders are not as important as Area 51 it seems.

Area 51 is not near as big as our borders, plus have areas that our totally desolate, no one wants to live there to protect them.

They could secure ANYTHING, if they really WANTED to!!! Our country has the most advanced technology of almost any country in the world!!! But,we would not even need that much security (except for criminals, drug runners, terrorists, etc) if we went after the EMPLOYERS, (like some towns are doing now) and FINED the crap out of them, and ARRESTED them!!!!!!!!!!!! NO jobs=NO illegals coming here!!!

that is a really good question. I think there are real good reasons why they really are not interested in sealing our southern border. They act as though they don't care that people come across in groves everyday and drain our already weak economy.
