THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT - PLEASE HELP!!!

I have a MacBook, so it runs on Intel. Can I have step be step instructions on how to install Windows Media Player, because I tried and it just said there is no default app to open it with! Is it possible to download it on an Intel Mac? I hope it is, because I need to play a Windows Media Movie File on my MacBook for my grandparents' 50th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow!!!

I actually already downloaded Windows Media Player for Mac, but after I double-clicked the "Windows Media.sitx" icon on the desktop, it said there was no default application to open it with. I reeeeeeeeeeally need help!

So I guess it's not possible to install it in an Intel-based Mac? So the only way I can install it is to install Windows XP and use the Windows version?

Sounds like you don't have an app to uncompress the .sitx file. Download the free Stuffit Expander. http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/index.html

Microsoft stopped coming up living house windows Media participant for the Mac. in spite of the indisputable fact that, yet another business enterprise stepped in, approved the code, and delivers free (and for-pay better function-wealthy) application called Flip4Mac which includes a WMV participant "enabler" once you position in it.

if you have the intel chip, you still have to install a version of windows to run their apps.; try another angle: convert your sound files to wav format ( a great free program is "AUDACITY"), then see if mac will open these. if it's copy protected music (encrypted from source): forget it.
