well lemme tell you this. if you have insurance.... and you dont want to end up paying for the treatment anyways. wait to go to the dentist the following day. im sure you can find a couple dds that accept emergency patients.... tell ya my story, got an abscessed tooth and went to the er, cost me almost $600 and the insurance (medical) wont cover it, and the dental says i didnt see a dentist there so they wont cover it, and the next day i had to go have emergency root canal done and it cost me only $57 because the dental covered it then

Personally, I'd go to an urgent care center if you have one nearby. They're just like a doctors office, only you can walk in. They take most insurance, so it should be about the same as going to a doctor's office visit. They can also write a prescription for you if they feel you need it. However, if you feel it's an emergency, then by all means get yourself to the emergency room! I hope your tooth feels better!

you could, depends on the emergency. They have dental repair kits in stores like for lost fillings now, if you knocked out a tooth, go to the ER as they can put it in a solution to save it until you get to a DDS, your DDS should have an emergency number on his answering machine

You can call your regular Dentist. Almost all of them have a paging service. If it is a real emergency, they'll take care of you.
What kind of dental emergency are you talking about?

During normal business hours you go to your local dentist, after hours go to the emergency room of your local hospital.
