Going to Heaven represents for people continuity, that it will not all end just like that, that you will still be carrying on being yourself and hopefully in a far better place to boot.

On the other hand, dying represents the end, no more being, no more awareness, no more nothing. Full stop, Do Not Pass Go, no more 200 bucks for you. Tough...

Instant gratification is a favorite among Humans. People want to rid themselves of pain, but don't want to wait on GOD to remove it, or relieve it. Nope, Mr.Morphine is always on duty. Take Life as the Biggest Pain in the World, and before people turn to GOD to help, they wanna pass Go, Collect $200.00, and advance directly to heaven. It happens, but I know How to Get there, and what I have to do. All the pounding pain is temporary.

I speak for myself, not all Christians, but I am sure a lot of them feel the way I do. I know I am going to heaven, so death holds no fear for me. At my age and health, I am rejoicing in the fact that I have lived a full life, and I am not afraid of death and ready to go any time the Lord says, 'Weary Pilgrim, come home"

No, I want to die and go to heaven. What I don't want is to suffer physically when I die. So, it's HOW you die that is concerning. Not the fact you die.

Everyone wants the peace mind to be safe for all eternity.
But no-one wants to go through the 'fear' and 'pain' of passing through the 'unknown'.

We live in an instant society and do not want to sacrifice our now for the 'possible' then.
All people want now days is instant purification and gratification,
hence (REPENT and all will be FORGIVEN).

Because most people don't think they will even get into heaven. Some bible suckers think that they will get in to heaven if they belive forever. I really don't know what to believe.

because thats where we came from in a way. through the creator spining off sparks of its self to create the souls of all things that will be.
it is the phyical body that bcomes afraid to die as this is the only life it knows and you have not developed enough faith in something greater than itself to let it release the soul easily.

94. Say: "If the last Home, with Allah, be for you specially, and not for anyone else, then seek ye for death, if ye are sincere."

95. But they will never seek for death, on account of the (sins) which their hands have sent on before them. and Allah is well-acquainted with the wrong-doers.

96. Thou wilt indeed find them, of all people, most greedy of life,-even more than the idolaters: Each one of them wishes He could be given a life of a thousand years: But the grant of such life will not save him from (due) punishment. For Allah sees well all that they do.
